speedy 32 Report post Posted August 27, 2013 Car isn't going to get modified in the next 12 months, so went back with Direct Line again. ~£320. Still baffles me how it can be £500 cheaper than my old (non-turbo, non-modified, non-quick) old Scooby.Happy days

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 You do way better than I too, though I do have a lot of business miles and a couple of mods.
speedy 32 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 I'm covered for business miles (since the car technically is doing some business miles at the moment). No mods though :tongue:I was genuinely interested as to what the renewal would work out to be. I had a chat with Ollie (sky insurance man) at JAE last year - his thoughts at the time were that Direct line were touting for business (and they were not really sure where to price the twins) so the renewal might be a bit of a shock to the system after everybody has had a year to figure out the costs of insuring GT86s/BRZs. That has not proved to be the case, and my renewal is pretty much the same as the initial policy cost 12 months ago.(I've moved in the last 12 months, so a direct comparison on price isn't quite fair)
Keethos 842 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 So direct line are a no go for people with mods then?
speedy 32 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 Yeah, they certainly didn't used to do them, and I don't think that has changed.
