Group buy? Trd door brace, aero fins, trd door handle protectors carbon look, tomei overpipe

Recommended Posts

I'm about to order these and have them shipped to me by my friend in Australia, coming from a Japanese supplier in australia.

Aero fins about £220 posted painted ina ny colour about 30£ cheaper unpainted

TRD door stabiliser £125

Trd door handle protectors £28 like the carbon fibre look that fills behind the door handle with trd logo

tomei exhaust extreme overpipe £225

This includes postage and import fees and are really good prices, this is what I'm ordering so I thought I'd open it up to anyone wanting the same item postage should be about a week and I can reship to your address for free. I'm only willing to do extras of the same item as mine as to not complicate things, I've had a lot of other stuff shipped to me and thought about doing this before as it seems like pretty decent savings. Let me know and I'll make these posts in the future when I'm importing bits. I'll be sorting my order out tomorrow evening most likely so will need the money before then. I don't know how admins feel about this as im just a random forum lurker but I've bought lots of things from you fellow peeps and sold a couple things as well. Shipping is fairly expensive an I'm pricing these about what extra it costs me to add them to my order and am paying the sort of base shipping cost myself so you will be getting them cheaper than me. Obviously I cannot accept returns unless you are willing to pay the shipping back to Australia. But I have ordered lots of bits and it's all come in a timely fashion and been the name brand stuff. Cheers!

Why the hell would you pay £200+ for an overpipe!? I agree don't go cheap but there are UK made items for half the price! It's a bit of pipe that does very little in term of performance..... Don't pay crazy money for one.

It's like 50£ cheaper than tomei here, if I factor in resale value vs a noname one it's probably about the same loss in value and my other bits are tomei. So the opportunity cost is really 0

Cobra. Miltek. Both £120, both quality, both do exactly the same thing, same diameter, will net you the same performance gains (nothing). Plus supporting a UK business....

pls link to where theyre 120

Gone up on price a little since I last looked..... Still less than £150 though

https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/cobra-subaru-brz-2012-onwards-exhaust-over-pipe.html

Also might be worth emailing other vendors (Abbey Motorsport/Amber Performance) that specialise in Cobra. Someone posted a Miltek one recently for around £120, check eBay.

I paid under £100 for my Cobra one, I wouldn't have bothered if it was any more even if it may benefit my FI set up.

ebays still 130 and bid so could go for more. so for the sake of an extra 50£ or whatever i get one quite a bit under RRP in uk and get to keep it the same brand as the rest of my kit and I should hopefully see that 50£ back when i resell it. Seems like there no real right or wrong decision and the cost is minimal

It's a bit of pipe, who cares about brand. You won't see it when fitted. All are interchangeable. But it's your money, I'd rather keep the £75.....

You'd have to re-sell it for under what the UK ones go for because Tomei or not, it's no better than the Cobra.

id sell it alongside my other tomei peices and im sure it would command a higher resell price due to the higher rrp of the tomei overpipe. either way its pittance and I get to maintain the same branding throughout my setup and im confident it will hold the value. Also You mentioned nothing about the TRD stabs lelelelelelelele, but i don't want to get you started again

I have a Tomei overpipe. Sure it wasn't the cheapest, but I wanted 100% fit with the UEL manifold and the finish was superb.

Please put pictures up of the bits though so we can visualize what you're talking about!
