Burnt rubber smell in the cabin

Recommended Posts

I recently had to do a rather sharp pull away at about 5k revs in first gear. Rear tyres lit up and had the familiar burnt rubber smell just for a moment or two as I drove away.  Since then, in the first few minutes of gentle driving from cold, I get what I would call a clutch smell / burnt oil.   This goes away very soon and is gone until my next cold start, when the symptoms return only to disappear once engine warm.  There are no mechanical symptoms associated with this, and the car performs well.

Any ideas?
