Subota Boy 402 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 I recently had to do a rather sharp pull away at about 5k revs in first gear. Rear tyres lit up and had the familiar burnt rubber smell just for a moment or two as I drove away. Since then, in the first few minutes of gentle driving from cold, I get what I would call a clutch smell / burnt oil. This goes away very soon and is gone until my next cold start, when the symptoms return only to disappear once engine warm. There are no mechanical symptoms associated with this, and the car performs well. Any ideas?
KevinA 695 Report post Posted December 16, 2016 Probably a little residual clutch smell from the casing until warm. 1 Subota Boy reacted to this
cebul19 1 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 Had exactly the same thing- and it was from a clutch. Gone after a few drives. Sent from SG Smartphone. 1 Subota Boy reacted to this
