Riapsed 2 Report post Posted July 31, 2016 Looking for the rare TRD monoblock brake kit or the equivalent brembo GT BBK 6 pots 32x355 front and 4 pots 28x345 rear.
Paul 442 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Hi Riapsed, Those kits aren't widely sold in the UK, the people that have BBK conversions generally have K-Sport, Stoptech, Cosworth or AP. The Brembo kits are quite expensive when imported, I don't think there's a single UK car running them. Sorry I can't be of further help.
Riapsed 2 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Hey, thanks for the reply. I know the chances to find one are pretty low but if for some reasons, an opportunity arises ...

No worries, wish you luck in your search! I know that if cost was no option James @ Amber Performance does have them listed, not sure if he has stock or if they're special order though. Riapsed 2 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Will probably wait for some used kit since I don't have proper wheels with enough clearance to mount them yet anyway.
smudge 1020 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Might as well look at 2nd hand alternative of Brembo, AP etc - better brakes for probably less money than the TRD kit which is a ridiculous price 1 Foulsmell reacted to this

Lauren 2259 Report post Posted August 6, 2016 Guessing AP/TRD are better quality than K-Sport.

Dunno to tell the truth, I only know the TRD is the worst performance/price ratio.

My whole front and rear setup cost less than half of what the TRD front setup cost 1 adam reacted to this

Ade 517 Report post Posted August 7, 2016 For what it's worth the Brymbo TRD kit is the best brake kit on the market. Those monobloc Brymbo calipers cost a packet similar to the AP radical calipers which are also very very expensive single piece ultra light forged calipers derived from a proper race spec caliper Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Paul 442 Report post Posted August 7, 2016 I'm not spending more on brakes than on a turbo. I understand the logic, and understand brakes = safety etc etc But more power > more stopping. 1 Ade reacted to this

Not when you can get very decent brake kits for far less. I just wanted to point out they are top end products but the AP racing stuff is better value for money.
