Preparing bumper for TRD canards

Recommended Posts

What would be the best product to use to ensure there is no wax, etc on the areas of the front bumper the TRD canards need to stick to?

I've had them for over a year now and thought I best get round to fitting them!

Polish the area lightly after a wash then wipe down with IPA if you're being fussy :) That'd get rid of any oils left over from the Polish.

IPA is Isopropyl alcohol, not a detailing product per-se as it has other uses :)

Gtechniq PW is the same thing essentially http://gtechniq.com/products/auto/perfect/exterior/paint/panel-wipe

Or you probably have some rubbing alcohol in your garage/shed which you can dilute

IPA can't go out of date can it?  And what if you leave it in the sun?  As I have a bottle sat on a window sill for a couple of years now....

I'm as certain as its Alcohol % that it won't go out of date :D Though it can become more useless, the dates on them are more like best before dates.
