remal 85 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 I want to remove the wheels and give them a bloody good clean this weekend. I have used poor boys wheel sealant twice in the past 10 months but want to try something else to protect the wheels. Poor boys has been good at leaving it easy to remove brake dust and road grime. Just want to try something else I was thinking of getting GTechniq C5 but the only downside is is it's £43 for 30ml. I've not said no to this but what do others recommend to protect wheels. cheers
Foulsmell 120 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 Optiseal is v good and you get a lot more for your money. Just wipe on thin and no need to buff. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/sealants/optimum-opti-seal/prod_775.html 1 remal reacted to this
chillismoke 182 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 I use C5 it's good but it still takes with my ocd ages to get them perfect. Autobrite directs "purple rain is good for a deep clean, it would probably dissolve any sealant already applied to the alloy though 1 remal reacted to this
chillismoke 182 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 It's also worth noting that premium members of the drivers club get 10% discount
remal 85 Report post Posted June 23, 2015 thanks for the info and I shall have a look. I was looking at the C5 review on Detailing world and someone did a good write up and after 5 months through the winter the C5 was still doing the job after months of grime and road crap was on there. Optiseal also looks very good as well. cheers both for that.
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted June 23, 2015 C5 is really very very good, lasted on mine for well over a year with no sign of wearing off. 1 remal reacted to this

Foulsmell 120 Report post Posted June 23, 2015 You could also use C2. Works well too and is cheap as chips. Only £6 for 100ml. Good for side windows and rear screen too.

Ztox 230 Report post Posted June 26, 2015 Just to add it seems it's now 7.5% discount on orders. I got mine applied about 5/6 weeks ago and was told so after the lady went away to ask about it following some initial confusion. Unless I've been tucked up, that is...
