Anyone else out competing, spectating, marshalling, servicing? I'll be navigating in car 223 On the 3 day National event, so give us a wave or drop by to say 'hi' in the service area.

Awesome! I caught the Sunseeker rally in Poole, got the flyers about Wales Rally GB, really wanted to go, then realised I'm in London with the misses all weekend...

What (type of) car are you going to be in?

Good luck, hope you have a great time!

We've got a MK2 Escort. Ford rear axle, but engine and gearbox is Honda S2000 with about 250bhp. It's a fair bit cheaper than trying to get that power out of a heavier Ford lump. I remember last year watching the TV in car shots from the WRC boys. They must have had 40mph on us in places and I thought we were going quite well!

We were topping out about 70 to 80 by time our spinning wheels got traction and 30 year old chassis design got to its limit, not mention self preservation creeping in. I was gobsmacked to see how much they were keeping the throttle open - the stability of the WRC cars really is another planet. They're not geared for a great speed, but still see 110 or a bit more in places.

Had a cracking first day, currently sitting 4th in class. Just wondering how well a twin would go through the trees. Surely we'll start seeing some as the 2nd hand prices drop and it becomes cheap enough to build a clubman's car.

Wish I knew! SIT Sport who the FIA believed would do a better job than Stage1 for the results this year were unable to tell anyone how they've done! Unbelievable!

The organisers are now using the time cards and check sheets to manually produce the results and they hope to have them out in the next 48 hours!

I think we were 3rd in class, but won't know for a day or two.

Still, apart from that it was a brilliant event. My driver picked up the pace and we had the spectators stepping backwards a few times - always a good sign! Only problem is, I'm now desperate to get my own hands on the steering wheel...
