Former owner looking to return, maybe ?

I don't think I will be messing with suspension mods as my old car bottomed out a few times on lowering springs but other tuning stuff is still possible.
  4. I sold my 86 around 11 months ago to buy a Fiesta St as I thought I needed the extra room but I have found that I could probably live with an 86 again and have not gelled as much as I thought with the ST. So is the new model 86 worth the extra over the older model ? Looking for peoples opinions who have driven both really.I am considering a late old model but curious on the new suspension set up and how it copes with the terrible road conditions we now have. Cheers

Former owner looking to return, maybe ?

I am off on holiday in a couple of weeks so will have time for test drives. I will have a read of the test you did last year @Lauren I also like the look of the BRZ in blue @will300 which I originally wanted when I first saw them a few years ago, does the BRZ the have the same updates as the 86 ? I seem to remember that the spring rates were the opposite of the 86. There also seems a fair amount of BRZ in stock at Subaru even a 2017 car.

What to look for when buying a used GT86/BRZ

I would add wear on front seat bolster, paint chips/damage especially on pearl white cars.
  7. Have you seen this new edition? it looks great but looks like its only available in Japan. Have Gazoo Racing taken over TRD ? as Gazoo racing sounds much better than TRD (turd ) http://toyotagazooracing.com/jp/gr/gr86/

Selling - so should I go back to stock?

Why the change Bob ? Is it down to how competitive it is in sprints ? I changed to a Fiesta St and will be looking to change back to an 86 early next year. It's great with low down torque around town but the ride is terrible and the power delivery is back to front lol

2013 Pearl white, manual with low miles

I am getting a Fiesta ST , I know it's totally different to the 86 but having used my Clio Cup I miss the hot hatch feel and I have never got to grips fully with RWD. Also the lack of low down torque gets on my nerves at times when I am not in the mood for the car. I was tempted to try a manifold and map but that's £1500 gamble that may not make the difference I am looking for.

I must say I would not be keen in having the tow hooks in all the time as a minor bump would impact into the chassis as its the most forward point imho. I use the screw driver but cover the tip in tape so that the metal does not dig into the paint or scratch the bumper if I have a slip up lol
