Has anyone tried these yet ? I was talking to a guy running a big power Scooby on 1A tyres who said they were very good in the dry but not so good in the wet. Also have stiff side walls. They come in 225/45/17 so should fit the original wheels? Thoughts ?

I remember the AD08's were effectively the next size up with the square profile. Your right , I will have to get a wider rim to suit the 225's.Having watched a few videos comparing tyres on the '86 I will probably stay on 215's. Thanks forum gurus!

Thanks Lauren, I have found that the primacys are fine...for now. Just waiting on tyre lists for next year.
 -
Are you on the Primacy's still Lauren ? I have used mine on a sprint and didn't think they are as slippery as people make out ? Or do they over heat easily.
 -
Have Abbey tried one yet ? maybe interested in the 250.

I drove from Manchester to Pont Aven in Brittany a few weeks back, it was in the family SMax but it was very enjoyable drive. The traffic flows very well and it's mostly 2 lanes, I think us Brits could learn a thing about lane usage !! I have never fancied such a long trip before but now looking at WRC Spain and Le Mans next year if I can persuade Mrs Shiftspark to stay at home and my youngest petrol head can have a road trip. Great write up Lauren.

From the R3 specs they still have electric power steering, this is on the news page , As a whole, the CS-R3 has performed very well during testing but selection of appropriate power steering has been a recurring difficulty. Due to the specific lay-out of the GT86, it has proved harder than expected to find a suitable power steering unit, which must be an off-the-shelf product according to FIA R3 regulations. It's more to do with using components that any one can use rather than making one off components to keep costs down in the r3 rally class.
 -
They are not running them yet as they have a power steering problem that they haven't solved so are not due to rally them officially until next year. They will have launched a new car by then lol

Not sure what you mean Spec K ?
 -
Hi Richard A bit slow in letting you know but the new gear selector and adjustments have made a difference on gear selection and seem to be smoother than before. As always great service from the team at Macclesfield. Thanks.

Ah..I haven't downloaded that part as I wasn't sure I needed it so I will get it and try it again. Cheers
