    TPMS on every gt86?

Well, as mentioned above, late 2014 onwards models (2015 MY) have it not the ones before. So it is right that @86iain and @Benjie_2 do not have it as yours are older models. Enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about another dash light and issues with changing wheels.

    TPMS on every gt86?

The easiest way to find out is, move your valves from side to side. If they are flexible, no TPMS, if they are metallic and have no flex, they have TPMS in them. Like Kinghtyrider mentioned, MY2015 cars have it. Simple way of knowing that is also shark fin body coloured antennae instead of the black one, IIRC.@lauren As much as TPMS causes grief, it helped me once with a slow puncture on one of my tyres, where the pressure had gone down to 24. Because my dash lit up, I went into the next petrol station and checked all pressures and discovered the issue. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
  4. Agree. They are fantastic! Cant match a Toyota for servicing price, thats all but its the huge volumes that help them i guess.
  5. Thank you for a regular and detailed review Lauren. Just a bit worried about the Overpipe burning something off. Could you elaborate that a bit more and is it due to the aftermarket one having no heat shield while the OE one has and for those with OE non polybush ones what would you suggest as a learning /preventive measure? SuperChips remap?

First things first, Super chips is a very reputable company, been leaders in the chip tuning business and i know of them since i knew about chip tuning and have used them in the past. If you go to their HQ in Milton Keynes, they will even dyno the car for free alongside the tune. Secondly for an NA car, unless there are specific restrictions like for a mazda 3, the same car comes in 2 states of tune a 120 BHP and a 165 BHP and the throttle cut off removal really unlocks the extra power. For a turbo car, its a different story and the gains with just a tune are noticeable. For a GT86, there is no such restriction and for the hardware it comes really well tuned. With a superchips tune you will not gain much. The ECUTEK gives you all fancy features like flat foot shift, launch control etc, which people rarely use in daily driving. So in summary, for our cars a NA tune without hardware changes (like manifold) is not worth it as the gains will be rarely noticeable.
  7. Thank you. I just have the first bit, i.e. manifold and it is not loud enough. So was wondering if just changing the mid pipe paired with stock exhaust/backbox will give the effect of it being a bit more at a lower cost
  8. This is interesting. So was your config New Manifold, new mid pipe, stock exhaust to increase the volume? Does that increase just some frequencies or all, is it quiet on motorway and does it retain stock second cat?

    El vs UEL drone question

There is some bit of perception there as the sound tube is from the intake section and a manifold or exhaust are at the other section so in no way linked. These sounds are independent. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    SuperChips remap?

You would need the custom tune as superchips does it for a car with stock parts. Just a manifold won't free up horses on its own unless paired with a new tune. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    6 Year Service

Jeff is right. I have compared details via Toyota website. The only extra on our cars compared to a gold service is diff oil. 120 and 200 for silver and gold vs 205 and 365 for minor and major for cars less than 5 yrs old. Diff oil can be added as an extra for 80£ which makes it 280. Spark plug service aka 60K is a totally different ballgame though. No escape there. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

Apple CarPlay now allows Google maps in the latest release. Apple have given in to the fact that they cannot match the might of Google on map tech. (Ducks for cover from apple fans). Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    Nexens on Gt86

It might not be a price thing. Sometimes owners are not passionate or sensitive about parts and let the dealers decide who will typically go on what gives them the best margin. It's not a red flag if it has a full service history and you can see the invoices. Do change the tyres though, of you get the car. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    Nexens on Gt86

Not necessarily. Generally for a RWD car, they put the new tyres on the rear. If the fronts were worn, they would've rotated the rear to front and put new ones on the back. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    At last...

Haha. Guess is good. But as others have said, try to ascertain the tyre brand they are using and influence them to use what you will prefer based on forum recommendations and your need. If that means paying a few quid extra, we'll worth it as you won't be changing them for a while now. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    TD resonated centre pipe

If you have the OEM resonator pipe, it might be worth popping that back in to see if that reduces the noise to your liking. I have always wondered, the additional value a cat back adds over axleback. Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

    Badger's BRZ

Well done! All interesting. Has the intake change made a difference to performance, you think? And did it change the intake noise through sound generator? Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk
