Mike has explained above but to use an analogy , when your house walls are being skimmed, you can use heaters for it to dry out faster (but its not recommended)[emoji6] and get it done quicker. When was the recall done? As Gavin says , if it was less than a year ago then the dealer / Toyota is liable ans you must contact them first before taking to a private garage. Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk

Year of car? Did it have valve spring recall done recently or not done/ not needed? What did the dipstick show- normal oil level? Is the car modified/ tuned/ boosted? Dipstick tube issues are possible and a replacement is easy. I will be worried about engine, could be rods, could be bottom end, could be excessive RTV sealant but unless we get all the info in the post, not much we can point to. As others have said, sump baffle installation estimate is sensible and fair while Manifold is extortionate. You could go with the former as the car needs to be left with them overnight ans best to do it when car is left there. For the manifold and overpipe install its a drive in drive out job. 2 hrs tops if you don't need a retune. Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk

Very interesting. is your car stock or tuned? Sometimes a poor tune can cause spark plugs to foul early. A possibility.

Maarten, Before you start with exhaust think about how far you will take it. 1. Will you put a decat long tube manifold. If yes you need a quieter exhaust. 2. Do you plan to decat mid pipe. Same as above. 3. If you are going to add a turbo, you can go with a louder exhaust as turbo quietens. 4. If you plan to supercharge again a quieter exhaust is good. I was thinking this through , and to maintain steering feel and get better traction on a RWD, staggered set up of 215 on front axle and 225 on rear axle cannot be a bad set up for best of both worlds. It does not let you rotate tyres potentially front to back but only left to right. @James- Do you find 225 perceivably different to 215 or is it much of a muchness?

So the door can be fixed by Paintless dent removal as they can access the back of it. The sill cannot as it is effectively a chassis part. The way you do it is weld a piece of metal on it and pull the sill out, then snap the metal piece and grind the weld off then repaint.
