    2nd Gen GT86

I’m curious as to why Toyota haven’t advertised their version yet? Is this because of the Yaris GR getting the spotlight for now?

Erm is there a reason as to why you’ve installed the helper spring below the coil spring instead of on top? I’ve got a set of V3’s and I’m just curious as to whether I’ve missed a trick.

“Rally Refugee” that’s going to stick isn’t it. 😎

No I doubt with a supercharger, a break in traction isn’t what you want.

The GR Yaris reminds me of this Aygo Crazy from way back. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/toyota/aygo/first-drives/toyota-aygo-crazy

I’m yet to try these tyres and the only negative is that they provide too much traction for some. Do you know if these TPMS valves have replaceable batteries?

Post your GT86 / BRZ pic of day!

Wow that’s cool! It was actually the headlights that don’t have the LED DRL, for some reason I’ve always liked the lights without DRLs.

    Is that a Primo edition?
  11. Well done on sourcing the model 5’s though, they’re really rare in that fitment. What’s your reasons for wanting to switch to 17’s?
  12. Your car looks super clean 😎 what is your suspension setup? More importantly are those SA3R’s, how did you source them?
  13. I would say that simply changing the tyres for a better performing tyre unlocks a lot of traction and handling from the chassis.

    GT86 Severe Knocking Sound

Second hand fa20 engines aren’t that expensive £2-3k from a breaker. Of course labour to fit might push that higher. Hopefully Toyota diagnose and repair under extended warranty.

Those brakes look great tucked behind RPF1’s! Are the calipers rotated up from the oem position? If so I wonder why?

They came up really well and the rotors looks great when there new. The brakes feel so much better when you change out the oem pads, discs and fluid.

    Nice! Are your callipers original?

That certainly will tighten up the chassis. Super pro should prevent you losing your teeth over a pothole as well. I would hazard a guess that your trying to get the alignment back to oem with the use of adjustable suspension arms and drop links?
  19. Cheers for the info Will, it seems like they have some proven record with a strong lightweight wheel. They’re about there with price compared to others with similar reputations.
  20. I’ve never seen a set of Protrack wheels before. Do they supply the VLN GT86’s that compete in the Nürburgring 24HR.
  21. If it was me I’d wait to see what Black Friday deals come out this year, there is always something on offer when it comes to wheels. As for choice the OZ HLT would definitely be in my short list. Otherwise Partbox usually have some lovely Rays on good deals.

    Wiper blade

I had to do this with almost every used car I bought that had the windscreen replaced. Is your new screen genuine Toyota and does it have the blue tint strip on it?

    Wiper blade

That’s correct. 22 drivers side and 20 passengers. The wiper blade might not be seated correctly, check a YouTube video for fitting them. They may have unbolted the actual wiper arms from the assembly and put them back in their park position a few notches too high which would give more sweep but could clip the drivers side A pillar. A good test is to wet the windscreen and stick them on full speed. You’ll here and see them clipping. It’s one nut to adjust if necessary.

Very jealous. I can’t wait to get a set of these some day. Hopefully they perform just as good as they look.

Good idea. Those bolts do feel a little sketchy unless you’ve got a really good hold on them. I managed it with a breaker bar and small extension so long as you’ve got the car high enough. Apart from that the brakes are very easy to sort.
