  1. Thanks for the quick response! Waiting for my insurance company's nominated repairer to call me - some company called Auxillis

As above auxillis will have a selection of companies at their disposal who actually do the repairs, recommend researching the company they propose as they sometimes have wiggle room. I have dealt with them twice. Once opted for the like for like car and got a convertible merc c250. Not exactly like for like with the gt86 but it was very nice inside.

  2. I realise I'm taking this off topic but has anyone been in this situation where some insurance repairs are needed, but also asked for a full respray to be done at same time and paid the difference? Is that possible or quite a nightmare?

I've had extra work done, the company usually just want cash, usually you can get a good deal as the insurance company is effectively paying for the time in the paint booth you just need to pay materials.

  3. Thanks for all the interesting replies and sharing of experience. Unfortunately I'm going to a bit distracted from my review as someone has just reversed a flatbed lorry into the back of the 86 today! Have all the details so just the hassle of putting it right...

Will come back to this when sorted....5cc73ace6a1815d8c2144ec341255ee9.jpg

  5. I don't order off there but handy for finding part numbers and then just google it. Some turn up on eBay but most are listed in the US, it's only around $12 so why not call up the local dealer?
If you chuck the updated part number in Google (SU00305866) it find the updated item so there has been a revision. Amayama comes from Japan, I've bought from them before, but as above I'd see what Toyota charge.
RRG Macclesfield to the rescue again

  6. Long shot but does anyone know the part code for this? It's a plastic bracket (technically glass fibre reinforced polypropylene) that is one of two that secures the bottom of the bumper inbetween the fog light and exhaust. Seems someone did a bodge repair of this one and when fitting my cat back I noticed it was broken.

Short of that, anyone had experience of gluing PP? What Glue do you recommend?

And no part serial number only material code.

And another secret Subaru badge. f5d3d880ba439a630c271042b776280c.jpg2c546c1bdb1f1174e5965dac433a24ca.jpg3edcea4364670a40edde7b665fea1b0f.jpg

Down the road then! It's supposed to be a great track, and videos I've seen online alot of run off.

  8. 10mins - lucky you. You can do an evening session or two
I am waiting for MSV to release track days for 2nd half of 2018. May do Wednesday, August 29th with Javelin if don't manage to find suitable day in April or May.
Sounds good to me, Im not feeling too lucrative at the moment so later in the year is best for me!
