    Deacons '86

@Deacon Can you feel the symptoms that the kit is supposed to correct? If you know of another kit hanging about let me know

    Deacons '86

Interesting I would be interested in such a kit, wonder how much difference it would actually make.

    Air Conditioning

Yeh £260 is about the right price for the expensive gas unfortunately.
  7. what have you swapped it out for?
  8. Saturday we had a great day out at the Ace engineering track day at goodwood. Great to see @Mark Gillam form Abbey Motorsport thanks for doing some tweaks to my maps on your day off. Much appreciated! I took the opportunity to take some Ginger Vs white, Harrop vs sprintex pics. Charged twins! Mark was pounding the track in his 350Z
  9. haha! If you weren't awake before you sure would have been after!
  10. @Mark@Abbey M/S we need more info on this little issue
  11. Used to live in Horsham so this was my local track done it a lot in various cars. Not in the 86 yet was hoping to do it this year. Im not going to make the 1st of August evening now. I would definitely be up for a evening session. @AJ124 @knightryder @rob275
  12. Never got on with goodwood personally. You were getting pretty dam close. I probably have a few more pics if you want them. Mine is my weekend toy and track car. Iv not been back long from the ring. Only done two proper track days this year so far Donny Snett
  13. @AJ124 Sorry, I was only socialising not driving so not around the car much. You looked to be going well! Do you track the car much?
  14. @Keethos, @DanJ is correct its an accusump. Its a take of oil stored under pressure than can compensate for an oil starvation. Saves having a baffled sump.
  15. @CanaryWundaboy its the seibon carbon kit!

    ROTA Centre Caps

Damit, I need some more, they are rubbish. you do a track day and they fall out as they heat up!

    Big Brakes On Track

I got more than 3 laps, but my car was N/A and on primacies at the time. The supercharger and semi slicks on your car put a lot more pressure on the brakes so I can see how it'd be easy to overheat a set of DS2500. Two circuits: Donny GP shocking fade actually had to take avoiding action of a RX8 who decided to tread the red flag like he was karting and come to a near full stop. Snetterton 300 they were better, but it was damp, still got some fade, and they got progressively noise as they day went on, didn't inspire confidence but they still worked. Switching to carbotech xp10, I have full confidence that they will be better in every way. Ill let you know how I get on.

    Big Brakes On Track

I have a very strong dislike for my DS2500 on the standard calliper set-up. I find they fade after 3 hard laps which is no good to me. I shall be swapping them out ASAP

    "New" Top Gear

    wont be watching again.
  20. Probably not going to make it as my car wont be back from the tuner in time. Never mind it will be worth it when I get it back

    Big Brakes On Track

Sounds like air in the system to me then! Dont think from the sounds of its anything your doing, and I certain wouldn't expect this behaviour. If what @Mike@TD.co.uk is saying is true, as leaky calliper would cause the issues as it will cause a pressure loss. Have you lost any brake fluid?

    Big Brakes On Track

Sounds to me like boiled or old fluid in the system, perhaps cycling the ABS pump has moved air or old fluid. I would try bleeding the brakes first. use a clear pipe on the bleed nipple and you will see air bubbles if that is the issues. Quick and cheap to find out! If you are over braking, due to lack of track knowledge, and the traction control is using the brakes a lot it will lead to quickly to over heated fluids. Big multi pot brakes can make this a bigger issue as they contain more fluid, and can hold heat better.

    Big Brakes On Track

@Keethos Sounds to me as though you either have air in the brake system, or you have boiled the brake fluid, can you tell me what brand of fluid you are using? Have you do much track driving in the past? Are you doing a cool down lap when you come off track? How many laps are you doing on a track session? What setting do you have the traction control set in? What is the rear brake setup?
  24. Can probably do either, Saturday would be more convenient though.
