plumel 0 Report post Posted June 2 Hey guys, I can be away for long periods of time that results in me not driving the car for 4-5 weeks at a time, so when I come back the battery always completely flat. I have a trickle charger, but after I unlock the car with the physical key and put it on charge, the alarm starts going off and when I go to try the key to unlock/lock it, it doesn't seem to have built up enough juice to do it. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Thanks

Church 209 Report post Posted Wednesday at 01:46 PM "Always completely flat" - that means next charge possibly will be even by 5-10% less. Running battery completely flat damages battery. If you have no option to charge, one of alternatives i'd consider larger capacity battery. Eg. i replaced stock 48Ah with 65Ah. From what i've heard, alarms that UK cars are usually sold with, use relatively lot of electricity.
