Nails 18 Report post Posted March 14, 2018 Is this normal? When at high revs, say 5000 rpm plus and you depress the clutch I can feel a little bit of vibration or resonance through the pedal, specifically when the pedal is close to the floor. It is only slight but it is there. I can also recreate this when stationary, so rev it to 7000 rpm then as the revs drop pump the clutch a few times and I can feel it until the revs are lower. Nails 18 Report post Posted March 16, 2018 Went to my local Toyota dealer and they let me try one of their cars, they all do it at exactly the same rpm so not going to worry about it, it's obviously another "characteristic". It is very slight and most people probably would never notice it to be honest.
nerdstrike 186 Report post Posted March 16, 2018 The pedal is a hydraulic link directly to the gearbox casing, so it's going to transfer any vibrations from engine back to your foot. It's also common to have intermittent vibration from the gear linkage at high RPMs - it's probably the same resonance manifesting in different ways. 1 Nails reacted to this
