Dessss 35 Report post Posted September 26, 2016 Looking at short shifter kits to improve the feel of the gearing, but I don't really want to fork out mounds of cash for a TRD one... are there any alternatives that don't break the bank (and the car)? A quick ebay search comes up with 30 squids super dodgy looking shifters. Also another from the US called Manzo short throw shifter. Anyone have any experience with these? Deacon 1357 Report post Posted September 26, 2016 I didn't go the short shift route as it's already pretty short but if you want to improve the shift feel a heavy gearknob, mtec shift springs and whiteline shift insert bush or perrin shift bush do a really good job. Tom B 44 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 I'm having MTEC springs and shift bush fitted today, if they don't improve the feel much I'm going to go for the Kartboy short shifter, although that has mixed reviews, most are good!
cliddell 9 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 I'm using the TRD (US) short shifter kit. Unlike the one from Japan, this isn't a complete new lever, it's just an extension that fits to the bottom of the stock lever. This one: GENUINE SCION FRS FACTORY TRD QUICK SHIFTER ASSEMBLY I absolutely love it. Chris
