Paul 442 Report post Posted July 26, 2016 Hi All, I was demonstrating the 1320 manifold whistle to a colleague when he remarked that he could hear a clicking sound. We popped the bonnet and found the source of the issue: This obviously doesn't look right, but I'm not sure what that part does? I don't remember seeing it before. The car was remapped last week, not sure if that could be a factor? Need to know how bad etc
Steeps 294 Report post Posted July 26, 2016 That's normal, that's the aircon pump engaging/disengaging. All cars will do this with the system turned on and the engine idling. Turn the aircon off and it won't spin.
Kodename47 446 Report post Posted July 26, 2016 The AC clutch is quite loud on this car..... the bonnet insulation partially does it's job to hide it from the outside. Mine must sound poorly to others with no bonnet insulation, AC clonking, SC whining, injectors clicking,,,,, thank god I don't have the crickets.
