Special K 442 Report post Posted August 22, 2015 I find it significant that Alex has developed his own 'flappy paddle' gearchange system to enhance the sequential box . . ... rather like Samsonas are doing for the GT86 . . .. of course, it will never catch on with the purists . . DanJ 374 Report post Posted August 22, 2015 Purist or not I'd be happy with anything that maximised the time I could have both hands on the wheel in a beast like that!
Special K 442 Report post Posted August 22, 2015 Purist or not I'd be happy with anything that maximised the time I could have both hands on the wheel in a beast like that! Concurrence . . both hands on the wheels, irrespective of the vehicle, are for . . . err, steering? As with using a mobile phone - there will come a time when the touchy-feely brigade focus on pudding-stirrers and recognise your purity puts others at risk. . . it is only a matter of time before a manual gearchange will be accused of costing lives. I would not be surprised if the Glasgow bin lorry driver's defence does not claim that he was provided with an 'inferior vehicle'. Spec K
