Varelco 211 Report post Posted July 29, 2015 Hi all, I have bought some Tein lowering springs for the 86, they will drop the car 25mm. The kit doesn't come with new bump stops, so is it recommended to shorten the existing bump stops at all? Or shall i leave them alone. Also the geometry will need to be reconfigured for the new ride height, is there enough adjustment in the standard set up to get it back to the stock settings? Thanks, Matt
Deacon 1357 Report post Posted July 31, 2015 I don't think I'd cut the standard bump stops - makes it a bit tricky of you want to go back to stock for any reason. To get back to stock alignment you would need camber bolts for the front and either lower control arms for the rear or camber bushes. I would take the opportunity to get more front and rear camber though rather than the stock settings. With a 25mm drop most people don't bother with the rear camber adjustment (it'll probably put you somewhere around -2degrees) but it can be more of an issue if it ends up very uneven. Front camber bolts are cheap and very easy to fit so a no brainer in my opinion. Hope that helps!
