Yorkshire Dales / Buttertubs

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Wanted to gauge the response to a run out on 29th March (start of British summer time) starting at the market place in Masham, then taking the road through the bottom of Wensleydale to Hawes, before heading to the top of the Dales via the Buttertubs Pass and finishing at the Tan Hill Inn (highest Inn in England). It's then an easy run down to the A66 and head off either East (A1) or West (M6).

This is the approx route:

It's about 45 miles from Masham to Tan Hill with the spectacular Buttertubs Pass in the middle.

So come on all you Northerners, lets see how many we can get together . . .

The Skyline owners club used to do a Buttertubs run event and one of the organisers kept it on after leaving. I did it last year with them and they're doing it on the 29th this year for a spring run, they'll probably end up doing a summer or autumn run as well.
