nickfrog 9 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 I really struggled with rear visibility after a downpour so applying G5 helps massively. This was right after a shower. Most water gone without the car moving.
rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 Yep, awesome stuff, I need to re-apply mine, waiting for the weather to warm up a tad though. Too cold to apply it at the mo.

Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 A couple of years in reality, especially as there is no wiper action. Mike do you follow the instructions to the letter 1 Tareim reacted to this
Mike 458 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 Probably skimped a bit on the waiting times but there isn't a lot to the G5 is there? Clean with G4, make sure it's dry and then put the G5 on and lightly buff until its clear. Re-applied G1 on the front and G5 on sides/rear just over a year after first doing it. I wouldn't say it stopped working as it was still beading but it wasn't flowing off anywhere near as much as a freshly applied coat.
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 Yeah the G5 doesn't last as long as the G1, that's why you use the G1 on the screen where the wipers are. Still the best product on the market though.
Tareim 343 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 is 15ml g1 enough for the front screen?
Mike 458 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 Tareim - 15ml is plenty. Mark - I was talking about the G1 on the front. Only time I get water on the rear window is when the car is stopped and it rains, when driving the window is bone dry. Have been tempted to use G5 on the front for the lower speed needed for it to roll off and because it's a lot quicker to apply. 1 Tareim reacted to this
rob275 1817 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 you can layer it for more durability, 15ml would allow you to layer the windscreen 2-3 times i reckon. 1 Tareim reacted to this
Mark-in-Stoke 488 Report post Posted January 31, 2015 As Rob says layers, I'd personally use two, to make sure of coverage. myself,I don't use anything on the front screen I might give it a try though.
