Hello: Can someone answer my question: I've been using Torque app in my smarphone for quite along. I can register oil temp after adding pid details. A week ago I've changed my smartphone to a Samsung S/ Edge. When I tried to add the oil temp PID the menu shows two new items: Diagnostic Start Command and Diagnostic Stop Command I tried with those in blank but it doesn't work. Ayny ideas?

I have my HKS supercharger for 6 month. I would say 2 liters/100Km increase over stock base on daily driving (but I tend to have an heavier right foot). On track lots of fuel but lots of pleasure I get 25mpg daily driving.

Did anyone notice that the torque deep has disappeared with the OEM exhaust manifold!!

Hello: After a long forum analisys collecting opinions I decided to fit a HKS supercharger Kit V2 and a HKS 2nd decat double resonated pipe. The e-tune will be done again by Fensport (I had a 1.2 stage by Fensport). After contact with Abbey motorsports (wich was not very friendly) I decided to buy the Kit and pipe at Japspeed.de with a nice 5% discount over sale price and e-tune it at Fensport. I expect about 270-280 BHP. I would like to collect your opinions about these subjects: 1 - I´m going to fit Michelin pilot sport 3 tires in OEM wheels. What is the best option for nice and secure handling (stage 2): 215/45 17" in OEM wheels (enough?) 225/45 17" in OEM wheels (the best?) 225/40 18" changing wheels to OZ ultraleggera (expensive...) 2 - The front 2nd decat pipe will affect carb emissions to ilegal level? 3 - Will it be inevitable for safe handling the up-grade of brakes, suspension, clutch or others? The OEM plot had 185hp flywheel. I'm using 98rRON fuel. Had an increase of 52hp (237hp flywheel) and 45% more torque. I've contacted Adrian and he told me these are the figures he has in other cars. To increase he suggests modifying the OEM exhaust manifold and change the 38mm SC restrictor to 40mm. They are nevertheless much better than HKS catalog. Has anyone else with an HKS SC v2 dyno the car?

Hello mates: I fitted today Ferodo Racing 2500 pads in my stock brakes. The OEM pads do have a metalic shield on the back. I could fit those shields on the rear pads. On the front ones the shield seems to be glued. I opted not to fit the shield on the front ones. Has anyone experienced this?

While driving on one granitic cube road (non tarmac) and you have some pad wear you ear a metalic noise from the pads against the brake calliper. Forgive my poor english.

I think the function of these shields is to reduce the tickling pads noise while driving on irregular roads?

Please answer if you know: the front pads without metalic shield Any problem. I feel excelent braking capacity.

The problem is not getting the shields out. When you put them on the Ferodo front pads they won´t get fixed like on the rear ones. Are they necessary? Will they make noise if fitted?

Time to see what the preferences are going for...

I fitted yesterday the HKS oil cooler 15004-AT011. Just a little bit of welding and cutting but simple installation. I just needed to cut some plastic to fit the upper left radiator bolt. Done some modification of the frame of fog light (right) to improve air flow to the oil cooler. The cooler kit looks very good quality as usual with HKS.

After 40000Km and 5 trackdays I said goodbye to my stock tires. The reason? Not the ware because they could run perhaps for more 15000-20000Km. I fitted one HKS SC V2 and felt I should improve grip. I fitted Michelin Pilot super sport 215/45 R17 in my stock wheels. Fantastic tires, smoother and quieter ride and lots and lots of grip. Better looking too. The same size of the stock Michelin's but looking larger on the wheels!!

These tires are not at normal sell in Portugal. I had to ask a friend to import from spain. They are made at Michelin's USA factory. They give a impressive confort ride (it seems that the bumpy GT86 in bad streets gives place to a civilized sport machine. It makes the suspension feel better than I thought. They are very grippie, nice for SC setting but I think, too much to NA.

Thanks again Adrian: For those like me that are far away from UK and looking for a e-tune I strongly recommend Adrian's Fensport. After HKS supercharger V2 install that wasn't bought at Fensport I contacted Adrian for the necessary re-tune. I've got an immediate answer and a reasonable price for tune. We started a long and meticolous program of logs and flashes till Adrian considered the work done. The car is fantastic and no mechanic issues so far.

My HKS SC V2 manual says: Use engine oil with viscosity greater than 40. I'm going to use Castrol Edge 10W60 (Toyota's Portugal OEM oil is 15W30 0r 10W40). Anyone with experience?

I decided to go for Castrol Edge sport 0W40. Based on 0W20 Toyota recomendation for NA plus 5W30 used by Toyota-Portugal plus HKS viscosity upgrade. I'll report back. Thanks
