    Space Saver wheel

In my experience, those aerosol glue kits are ineffective at dealing with punctures (apart from slow ones). Anybody know if a spacesaver wheel is available, which will fit in the spare wheel well? If so - how much and from where?
  2. pm me your address and I'll send you my old one for the cost of the postage

    GT86/BRZ Rear Roof Visor

Looks OK but - - - does it do anything? I always get a problem with visibility - especially in the wet.

    Condensation inside the windows

I get this as well - the combination of the rear demister and the front screen clear button (the one on the left) usually clears it - but I have to keep them on! Alternatively open window a little. I think other posters are right - it's caused by wet clothing.

    Audio remote control

Does this Pioneer steering wheel-fitted remote control work with the BRZ/GT86 Pioneer head unit? http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-cd-sr100-av-steering-wheel-remote-control.html?gclid=CJbL5Nf1_MICFUoCwwodi20A5A

    Audio remote control

Bit more information on the CD_SR100: From Amazon: "The CD-SR100 is compatible with most DEH, AVH, and MVH Pioneer receiver models that are remote-capable." But mine is AVIC-F840BT From USA supplier Crutchfield: "The CD-SR100 is for use with Pioneer's IP-Bus receivers (compatible receivers will have a "P" in the model number)." Mine doesn't have a "P" Somewhere else I read that it uses Bluetooth.
  7. Yes - I've often been in a car with someone and had a chat - and not paid attention - - - I have learnt from your lesson - - -no offence intended! I will concentrate that bit more in the future. An accident like this can change your life, cost money, cost time, change your fortune!!!
  8. And lesson one should have been about paying more attention to road surfaces, not losing adhesion in a confined area, and concentrating on driving rather than milkshakes ffs!
  9. Very interesting - and a lesson for us all! When the car had finished being repaired, did you have to declare all the new extras fitted to the insurance company?

    Switched Live Drivers Side

Could you do a "How to..." guide for this? Particularly - how to connect the sensors, where to fit the instrument, electrics etc. As I think it would be a useful mod.

Main beam feed for auxiliary lights

it's a white lead with blue ticking! Thanks for looking, though!
  14. trying to hook up a couple of driving lamps ("spot lights"). Will run feed/earth from battery to a relay to be fitted near to left hand (nearside) headlamp - I have identified the multi plug on the lights (8 way) but unsure which is the main beam. I would guess at the blue one (or red on the right hand multi plug) - is this the right one? Anybody else fitted additional driving lamps? I am using http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-Automotive-BRL0542C-Microline-Rectangular/dp/B00BEI7898
  15. Nice to see the Toyota GT86 winning the Performance Car section of the recent Daily Telegraph poll. I used to dream of getting a car like the GT86 - until I bought a BRZ!

    First oil change

Oil change - 3300mls Went to Halfords today for a first oil change. I know all the experts on here say it's easy - but I'd probably mess up the drive, and leave the filler cap off, spraying oil all over the engine, or something like that. So they charged £79 and used Fuchs Titan GT-1 0-20w oil and a Unipart filter. Oh - and they left the filler cap off, spraying oil all over the engine. I went back to them and they are now steam cleaning it. At their expense.

Main beam feed for auxiliary lights

suspended from the bottom of the number plate box. I would have preferred to mount in the blank bits of the bumper each side of the numberplate box, but it's solid. I do a lot of night driving, and much of it on the continent, so feel the need for more light on the subject!

    Roof bars

Anybody know whether roof bars are available for BRZ/GT86? Seen some in USA made by Yakima - not available here.
  19. steering wheel satnav/audio control? So - is there one available? Being a newbie, I find the controls non-intuitive on the Pioneer AVIC-F840BT. And I don't like taking my eyes off the road and hand off the wheel to poke at a fiddly screen, or twiddle a silly little knob. Also - I usually have driving gloves on and they won't work the digital touch screen!

  22. Would look better with the Zunsport stainless steel mesh grill!

    Just to say hello!

Thanks for the pix Will300. I'll probably go for a stainless one - it's cheaper, and if I don't like it I can always paint it - Blue, Black, whatever. I'm interested because last year I found out the hard way that it costs £800 to replace a condenser on a Vectra - mostly labour getting to it! damaged by a stone.
