  3. I have a 2015 manual 21k miles. Every so often with AC on (at least this is when I notice) I get a funny smell coming through the vents. Can't really describe the smell but I thought maybe it was due to aftermarket exhaust and decat. Looked under the bonnet can't see any leaks but there is some muck on the piping at the very back of the bonnet behind the engine. I wouldn't call it a foul smell but it's just weird that it comes intermittently. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    Help with overpipe/front pipe

Hi, my OEM front and overpipe are stuck together due to rounded and seized bolt where they attach. I've tried almost everything to remove them both as one piece but getting no success. I've removed skid pans and under cover, jacked up the engine but no matter what I do I can't wiggle the overpipe through the gap. Does anyone have any suggestions. Puncture repair kit

I've used an OEM expired puncture fluid. Seems fine I found but either way you're going to get a mess. And as that is the case, I'd just grab tyre weld. Much quicker to use than the puncture repair kit offered in the car. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Funny intermittent smell when air con is on

Just went to sniff some anti freeze. It doesn't smell like this. I dunno how to explain it. It isn't even a bad smell like that. And it comes every so often for a couple seconds then disappears and comes back. You're all free to come round and smell it lol Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Isn't worth doing pistons with what you're doing. Rods is more than enough Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Funny intermittent smell when air con is on

Yeah I have no leaks anywhere that I can find. Checked the cam plate cover as well. No leaks at all. Mine happens when recirc is on mostly as well but sometimes when not. Changed my cabin filter. See how that goes Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Boot won't open - Getting fed up with owning this car

I have similar issue with the closing. I have to slam it pretty hard. If you aren't happy with it, may as well get rid of it. But if you can look past it for what it is then keep it. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Good thing with TD na kit is you can upgrade you to there turbo so if you're interested in their turbo it's a no brainer. If you're after an avo turbo I'd just save and for it and forget the TD manifold Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Yeah the stanced guy is my friends cousin so. It depends what you're after tbh. UEL will eliminate the torque dip you see at 3-5k rpm but falls out of efficiency. The EL does something to the torque dip to reduce it but it's still there but has better high end power. Mine was mapped on road so I don't have any figures but it's noticeably more punchy. It depends on what your future goals are For me I plan to supercharge so I went for EL as the supercharger will eliminate the torque dip anyways so I wasn't to bothered about UEL. Some like the burble of UEL. If you get really fussy you could say UEL is less reliable on engine compared to EL due to uneven pressure between the runners but I don't know how negligible it is or isn't. There aren't too many gt86 around the south east area. Myself, Andy, there's a guy with a facelift red gt86 in charlton and 13 plate red stance biased gt86 near welling also. I'm from deptford myself but I work in blackfen so always in the area with my 86. I'll let Andy tell you his set up, but for myself, I'm running a tomei 421 equal length header with a cobra resonated catback. Had the car mapped my fensport earlier in the week. UEL is good for eliminating the torque dip. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

What rear lip diffuser are you using mate? And how does it attach? I have HT auto on the rear section of my bumper but wondering if a rear diffuser to go under the exhaust will interfere if it attaches via the same part from the bumper. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

Not sure what kind of cat ft86 use on their UEL but not sure if decatting 2nd cat would be the greatest from an emissions and mot point of view but I could be wrong. I've got my manifold decatted but running the primary 2nd cat. Maybe swap out for a HFC if I can find a suitable set up which will still pass mot Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk

    OEM bits for sale

Hi, been swapping a few things out and need to get rid of everything as I have no space for hoarding. Previously made an ad for OEM red spoiler but as I'm selling other things, I'll include that in this if that's ok. 1 - Tail light clusters (2012-2015). Swapped mine out for Valenti's so these are spare. Good working order - Price £120 2 - Head unit (2012-2015). Again using an aftermarket unit so these have to go. Just the unit, no mounts or nav module - Price £120 3 - Red spoiler (2012-2015). Removed from my car for a black one - Price £90 4 - Haven't included picture but I have the sound tube/generator laying around. dont think anyone would want this but if you do its there. dont know how to price this so - Price £20 Open to offers on any item for sale. Collection is preferred from South East London but willing to post.
