Cheers, sounds like you both did the same sort of thing. So on the inside of the outer door skin, and some on the flat parts of the innner door skin? Makes sense as the flat parts would vibrate more than the structural bits...

Picked up a set of the Focal IS165TOY that I'm intending on fitting at the weekend. While the door cards will be off, figured I'd add some sound deadening as well...
For those that have done it, what's the best approach? Material on the inside of the inner skin of the door or somewhere else?
Pics would be splendid

Who else is staying at Hotel Cymyran (http://www.hotelcymyran.com) for this?
Rooms still available online!

Price went up from £300 a couple years ago I think. £370 is the standard price

Pretty sure Keith's is a noticeable amount lighter

They're not recommended because of the lightness of the bonnet afaik

£64 for anyone else doing a late booking

Ahh ok, bit disappointing it can't use the sim directly, probably worth having the USB in the glove box so you can replace the sim if needed?
Presumably the mic is decent? Don't want to have poor call quality!
-
Isn't that for having another sim card for the car? It has WiFi built in the head unit?
Does it connect to the OEM mic?
-
WiFi hot spot is only a sticking point because its not unlimited like normal data for me. And I'd rather not have it enabled all the time so would need something that could enable it for me when I get in car
-
Cool, got some trim pieces to replace that needs it removing too so that's not a problem. Only sticking point would be WiFi hot spot I think...
-
For the install, does it require trim removal?

I've had the P0171 before, has it been cutting out or just the CEL?
Mine would cut out but then I had a fairly sizeable hole in part of the intake

Most of the brokers on here will let you send them the details. I've done that for the past few years

Just need to take the 2 bolts out, no access needed to the other side

Doesn't Lauren want to go to Bedford? Learn something new everyday...

Don't quite understand how everyone else's seem to be so much quieter.
That sounds wrong to me. EL manifold? Non-res milltek + TD EL manifold + stock 2nd cat is what I have and is apparently quieter than yours? Something isn't right...
-
Think Lauren's is quieter than mine, and mine is 94dB so 90dB is believable... similar to what Mike Batty's was I think

I'm sure I've seen reports of the grease drying out on the bearings which just causes excessive heat and makes the bearings unhappy...
-
How is it holding up? Where did you get it from?
I’m Back but with a problem 🤷♂️

Stats show once you are hit, you change driving habits and can become nervous and more likely to be involved in another accident. I think it's bollocks but that's what they say
