    The first scare of winter!

Yea if I ever went F/I I'd be changing tyres the same day... they lose traction easy enough with a stock setup....

Proposed Grasshopper Meet 15 Nov 14

Happy birthday for then but a little far for me

    Court tomorrow

Best you could have hoped for after not being given a fixed penalty!

I wouldn't rely on the tables you find online. They were wrong for me when I got caught speeding. Were you caught via a camera or police car?
  5. Stuck in traffic one day, bunch of lads in a Golf (I think) were having a look, so naturally I stalled it
  6. Probably for a while or until something I like better comes along that's reasonably priced (and I can afford!) Or another 2 years if I don't have ~£10k knocking around...
  7. In that case my clutch shall stay firmly up! (Except when changing gear obviously...) But yea, for me it was a natural reaction due to the speed I was doing - last week when it rained the rears were letting go easily and I just backed off and it was fine. Funnily enough, the time it happened at 70mph was round the corner from RRG after dropping you off
  8. I think Rob wants to say he can't be arsed...
  9. No Keith... just that kinda goes out the window at 70mph when the rear stops going in a straight line
  10. I know it's not the best way - but it's not like I'm coasting along, the clutch is only down for a second or 2 while it re-gains grips. If the rears let go at slow speeds I'm fine easing off, it's just when it does it at 65-70mph that things are a little different for me
  11. Took mine off this morning, looks much cleaner!
  12. Of the couple of times mine has lost traction at a concerning speed I've just gone clutch down to avoid lifting off too quickly. I figure it's safer to go clutch down as it'll mean no wheels are trying to drive the car and it'll naturally find its feet so to speak.
  13. Not surprised tbh, the roundabouts round there are terrible (no excuse I know...)
  14. Woohoo! Apparently there are a few people with photocopied tax discs (legit ones) for September because there wasn't enough made.

    RRG 16 October 2014

Same as Lauren above, might pop down for some food after work depending on time / location

    Rag it!

Drive home the day after while it was raining (first time in September that I can remember) was rather fun... any sort of acceleration and the rears were losing it... Did manage to take a roundabout with the car on the edge, trip to milbrook paying off
  21. Jay - How much are the blocks either side of the spare wheel well?
  22. I may have the polystyrene block that fits in the spare wheel well spare in the next few days... not sure if that's any use (can you order the blocks separately?)

Looks great Jay! Probably feels longer for you but it doesn't feel like it was 3 months ago when it was your birthday!
  24. Sounds like you need to turn the tunes up!
  25. Forgot about this... bit late to take the day off now
