Must admit I prefer the black ones aswell :-)
team dynamics pro race 1.2 would probably be a cheaper option, but they're just not TRD!

now on ebay.... £20 startfit like this... (but these are locking....)
and are the top one that mounts flush.... (though again, these are locking!!) -
Brand new pair in box.
These mount from below panel for a neater look....
Picture in link below shows style of fitment, though mine are the locking type with keys :-)http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=viewimage&img=585685

gutting. glad they got out OK though
-
which hotel are people booking?
should be there for both in the MR2 :-)
-
Unfortunately I wont be at this one as the mr2 isn't ready :-(
Decided not to do it in the GT86 as until i have settled the bill, I don't want to risk overspending.
Have fun all and see you at Blyton again!

Have you tried Merlin International....

no worries!
the cable coming out of the dash into the glove box was annoying me! Now all neat and tidy!

I bought on of these a few weeks ago and installed at the weekend...

I have the sat nav module installed, which connects its own USB port to the dash mounted one, i was hoping i could use the redundant original HU one for this, however it seems to have been disabled.
It still serves the purpose i wanted though, as by replacing the lead to the dash mounted USB port, i don't have to have a cable to my Ipod on show all the time, i just routed the USB end into the glove box. Much tidier

Welcome along Glynn.
Look forward to seeing you both at the next TSS!

Is it just me that is confused by the classes? I thought...

N2For normally aspirated street cars with full interior and using a road tyre from msa list 1a
Modifications are allowed - See sections S & G
N3For normally aspirated Pro cars stripped interior and using a tyre from msa list 1b
Modifications allowed - See sections P & G

It was indeed a great day, however to say I was disappointed with my times is somewhat of an understatement!
over the years I have obviously got very used to my stripped out mr2, with roll cage, coilovers, roll bars, semi slick tyres and massive hp. relying on the grip in the corners and the HP to pick up again after. driving a slower car with this style just doesn't work!!
I really just didn't gel with the 86 on the first few runs, until I thought balls to it and switched TC off completely - what a difference. The car wasn't continually trying to adjust everything before, yet with it offt it felt more planted, and I felt in control so started to push a little harder.
I was also breaking way too early for every corner, but not building up much confidence in how well it would stop.
Not sure if the 86 will be at the next sprint or not, but either way I need a track day in it as I cant leave it there!!!
Great day out though and really enjoyed it!

I have been looking at the Continental Sport contact 5 - though a little confused that the tyre is rated differently by standard manufacturer options - if that makes sense!?
i.e. here :

225/40/18 92Y
If you buy "normal" efficiency rating is F , If you buy Audi efficiency rating is E, yet if you buy mercedes efficiency rating is C!
I have the Yoko Advans that are good (standard on the TRD), but i would like more than 13000 miles form a set!
Anyone shed any thoughts?!
Cheers

Just got back from JP, exhaust was only in the 80s under load, however jumped to 99 on the over run "rasp".
Should be fine for Blyton (limit 102), but maybe an issue on drive by on the stricter circuits. Will probably get it done at some point as not an issue I ever want to have.
Either way, all good for Sunday!
-
They have a decibel meter there so should be able to test accurately.
Anything border line I will get it sorted as track limits will only ever come down, and this should be least of my worries!
JP built the complete system on my MR2 sprint car and that rarely comes above 92db!
-
Hmmmm, just had a thought. The exhaust on the TRD is loud! Just booked into JP in the morning to have it sound tested! Fingers crossed it wont need any work as I do like it!

First round paid up :-)
and you will all be pleased to hear... in the '86!
Riceburner, Keethos and rob275 reacted to this -
I will be there in either the '86 or the mr2

Doh! yes - Mazda
lucky there was this video then as otherwise would be a pain on insurance!

is it me or does the golf pull out into him!?
-
I may take the scenic route across and join you for a little bit, just need to check how timings work around the F1 qualifying!
-
I'm not going to be at this as my other car isn't ready, have fun though all, and get your practice in ready for Blyton in April :-)

There does seem to be a lot of good feedback on this, definitely one to consider...
Really like the wheel as well!
