    Greddy Turbo kit

Abbey Motorsport have been an importer of Sprintex. If you go for it, please buy the intercooled one. Do check with them as they never took off and we have very few of them around. Abbey started recommending Harrop kits after the initial couple of years. Harrop is no longer available, i believe or is on hold. Worth checking that option with Abbey as well.
  2. This is the person who made the comments there on that Toyota Mag site. Bottom line is simple, if you are buying it as an investment car, dont think of it that way. If you are buying it as a car to enjoy and keep for the next 10 yrs or so to enjoy the front engine rwd pure sports car ethos, then yes go for it. It is superior to the GT86 in nearly every way. Financially , like Lauren said, what deals will you get is a ? Personally, having driven the manual BRZ for so long and getting frustrated with the local traffic, i am interested in the automatic but will only buy if it comes with the Subaru safety and convenience kit (now called Star by Toyota in their Canada launch) which has the auto emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, remote car start and heating/air con start. So waiting for more info... If they come to the UK as specced above ( which is the Canadian spec), for me , its a worthwhile upgrade as a comfortable GT car as am not after a track weapon.
  3. Thanks for sharing and thanks for putting it out there. From what I can see and observe being on this forum for years now:1. They did not put out a sale during back Friday this last year while they have historically done it. 2. All the feedback relates to expensive online / distance purchases. 3. No update on FB since 2019 while they are / were very active on SM. Their product quality has been average at best and have been copies of US designs but they have been about cheap price/ VFM. They may be good at tuning But I suspect that as when I got my NA package , it took them 9 tunes to get it dialed in. For a package that they do day in and out , 9 tune versions is a bit much if not too much. [emoji854] I can't look at locked tunes so can't say the quality of it but signs are not positive. Their service F2F was the differentiator as they were quite good at it. Shame even that's gone downhill. They cannot ignore / block a customer and not respond/ help. Delay is OK, ignoring is not. I am worried they might be in financial difficulty looking at the above signs. Hope TD respond to this and try to help you as the end customer and the others who have fed back on Google reviews.
  4. I think the orders in feedback above seem to be for big amounts. Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk

Welcome! That spoiler looks nice. What brand is it - Tommy Kiara? and does it cover the OE spoiler holes?

    Michelin Pilot Sport 5?

Tyre reviews has promised a video soon comparing them to Cross Climate 2 which is the latest all season tyre in Europe. The reason PS4AS won't come here is the cost of EU homologation Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk

    MartinT's BRZ

Nice one Martin. Someone on here was selling a full set of 4 brakes from an impreza for a deal (£1000). That's an option to consider. With AP what colour callipers did you go for? Someone also posted about this one, if you want to explore. Megane brembo conversion kit. https://k-system.pro/en/product/bbkgt86brz4potbrembo/ Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk
  9. I needed to open a picture of the engine bay to see what you mean https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-ONWARDS-TOYOTA-GT86-GT-86-2-0-ENGINE-SUPPLY-FIT-INCLUDES-COLLECTION-/333768813201?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338268676&toolid=10044&customid=Cj0KCQiAraSPBhDuARIsAM3Js4qsDdXzVVjYfdQsWoEhpiaBnsyJ_T07xzVVx-q3W7S580aK0Csv3-waAmJ1EALw_wcB I don't know its specific purpose but clearly it being missing / disconnected is not right and might be the cause of your problems. So try getting it reinstated and let us know what happens. Might be worth calling one of the GT86 specialists like TD , Abbey, fensport. They might be quickly able to help.

    Michelin Pilot Sport 5?

So the PS4 was long overdue replacement and was superseded by Goodyear Eagle ASY5s on most measurable parameters. The PS5 has quietly sneaked in. Currently Michelin are on a marketing overdrive promoting Cross Climate 2 as its their best and market leading all season tyre and it is their most expensive road tyre and currently the right season for selling all season. Knowing their history and quality I'll not think twice but go for them if they are available in the size you need as with new launches , they are size limited for a while. In comes the GR86

And its now official..... a conical filter loses power... To summarize, Subaru have done enough R&D to place the intake at the right location. If we do not use the OE location and just fit a conical filter, heat soak will take away any gains and you will lose power. My personal analysis has been that aftermarket Panel Filters though give a bit more power let in more sand / silica which has been proven time and again through my used oil analysis. So honest suggestion, dont play with the intake unless you are doing it for the induction sound and no power gains and potential impact to the engine long term..

    Brake callipers upgrade

Thank you Si! It looks like a very good cost effective option. It uses stock brake discs and pads? (stock sizes, could be different brands/pad materials) How much did they charge for shipping? How hard was the install?

Thanks Lauren. I also asked Toyota UK via e mail and they replied with a cryptic ish answer saying it will be anytime soon. We don't have any info. Please subscribe to updates pn website to be informed first. The magazines say May 2022 launch and someone said it was a Dec 02 reveal but clearly that date has passed so there are some delays. Nice one. Congratulations! Low slung turbo keeping with the ethos of a low mounted boxer engine and lower COG. What's the white bit on the front crash bar? Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk
  17. I think I'll say a few things here: 1. You can go down the weight saving route but it's a lot of money for not much gains - CF Bonnet, Forged alloys, S Steel catback are three quick ones I can think off. Lightened flywheel will have its pros and cons as generally it makes city stop start driving harder. 2. My personal learning is that mods help you personalise your car but financially, you will recover very little of it when it's time to resell. 3. If you don't put the car back to stock, you will find very limited buyers. Hence you might have to compromise on a poor PX value. 4. A PD SC does make the car feel like it has a bigger engine. A Harrop has a TVS1320 SC, so effectively adds that much more air. So if you take away 320cc losses. It adds a litre more capacity to an engine. So its closer to your 3L flat 6. The new GR NA will not match that power number even with NA mods of a manifold and tune. 5. The GR86 might have new issues to iron out is a bit of scare mongering as the gen 1 from 2012 ( new launch) never had major issues. Only the valve spring, which went across models as it was a bad batch from supplier. I wouldn't worry about platform issues and happily put my money on a new GR86 and be done with it if all you want is more oomph. Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk

I need it personally as I ferry my little one to football matches and events all the time and am watching him on the ground working hard. Once we finish , I want the car to be pre heated. Electric seats to be on full blast. Same with an early morning departure to work.. BMW charge for the privilege and so do many others. Am happy to pay but want it factory set up and having a sim inside so it works everywhere , not just on my drive. Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk

I broadly agree. think the Premium will also have more safety aids , Blind Spot Monitoring, Automatic Cruise Control etc as well. Automatic more so than manual for safety features, I guess. Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk

    In comes the GR86

Congratulations in advance! Its great to see current owners moving to the new platform. I would love to eventually do that but this time around i have a set of requirements. 1. They need to offer the remote start and Air Conditioning that they offer in Canada/USA. So i can also get into a warm toasty car now or a cool car in the summer. 2. They need to offer the Subaru / Starlink safety suite with Automatic Cruise Control for the boring motorway drives and Auto Emergency Braking for saving a life or two. 3. It should be Red and hopefully the Toyota Scarlet Flare Red. Which leads me to think, i need to wait for Toyota to release details before i sign the dotted line. Did you get any more info on the UK specs?

    Engine Blown, What next?

I thought relax warranty applies only if you have had the car regularly serviced by Toyota and continue that journey. Any break from that and your warranty terminates. On buying a car from Copart it has always been touch and go. If you are replacing the engine, then do it for the enjoyment of owning a great car and not as a means to add value and then resell as you will not get much out of an accident car as the demand for any accident damaged car is very low and people will lowball offers. If you were doing it for the money, cut your losses and sell the shell.

    Squeaky clutch, help needed

I have a very squeaky clutch which makes a noise at all times , engine off , on , while driving , while parked, every situation. My MOT guy assumed it was the clutch spring and greased it. The problem did not go away. He then opened the bonnet and asked me to depress the clutch The noise is loud and coming from the slave cylinder or such area under bonnet. Any advise to what the solution could be? Sent from my SM-G781B using Tapatalk
