Just wondering if there is an alternative plug & play to the focal is165toy?
the focals were supposed to be back in stock mid july but sill nobody seems to have any stock.
my stock speakers are so bad i just turn the stereo off but it would be nice to listen to some tunes.

If you do the work yourself the cost is zero. If you can’t & you need to pay someone to do it somewhere around 1k is about right.

Just bought a Cosworth Catback exhaust which should sort the lack of exhaust note out

The wheels camber inwards as they go up therefore given you the clearance to not hit your arches.
That said depending on what et you go for you may need to roll your arches flat.

Can anyone confirm wether or not a 3” system will be detrimental to power in n/a form as I will probably run the car for a year like this before getting it turbo,d.
any help appreciated

I’m trying to find a decent catback exhaust & im a bit stuck so could do with some help.
really want to pull the trigger on the cosworth exhaust but I’m a bit worried that it,s going to be too low to the ground what with the car being quite low already. Or am I worrying unnecessarily? Also the end game will be to turbo the car so will it be alright to run a3” system in N/A form until then?
are there any 2.5” systems that sound similar?

How's it attached?
Also if it is smaller is there any legal technicalities to that?
It’s held on with 50mm double sided foam tape.
It’s not legal but without trying to tempt fate I’ve had them on all my weekend cars for the last 15 years with no problems.

Great review but That’s a long old drive which at some point in the future I’ll need to make myself.

Thinking of upgrading my head unit & just wondering if there are any Kenwood, alpine etc units that fit without having to use th horrible side extenders

Didn’t get any pics but fitted ebc slotted discs with yellow stuff pads all round today.

I’m tempted to get one of garage whifbitz titanium exhausts just wondering if anyone’s got/ had one or if there are any video clips of them. Also the end game is to turbo the car so with that in mind would the exhaust be up to the job.
here,s a link to the exhaust

After travelling 100,s of miles viewing cars i finally Picked the car up a couple of weeks ago from a kind chap on the forums who rather nicely brought the car other from the isle of wight for me to view in Southampton.
Loved the car so the deal was done & drove it back to it’s new home in the south west.
2 days later the modding started. Ordered some meister r coilovers. Had them on my previous car and really rated them so it was a no brainer really.
struggled with wheels for a while nothing really taking my fancy & those that did would have to wait 10 weeks for them to come from Japan.
1 of the few advantages to living in Devon is that rare rims are only 15 miles away so i made a late dash Friday afternoon to view, what wheels they had in stock. They went out of there way to help even staying late. Anyway some wheels were chosen.
next step Saturday morning was to find some tyres. After a lot of phone calls i managed to get a good deal on some Michelin Pilot Sport 4 in 235 40 18.
I fitted all of it today and am pleased with how it looks. The car still needs to be lowered about 20mm more all around but I’d had enough for one day.
also managed to be on the forum at the right time to pick up a set of used valenti smoked sequential rear lights so had to fit them aswell.
Anyway a few pics for you.

So im guessing 18x9.5 et 23 is pushing your luck a little? It’s the highest offset the wheels i want come in.

That might take a while. Struggling with wheels, every set i choose are out of stock with a 3 month wait from japan.
