  1. Hi Guys. Thought I'd mention this. The breakfast meet is normally on the first Sunday of the month, but not this month. Nope, it's been move to the second Sunday of April due to Easter. I do intend to go so hope to see one or two of you guys there. Especially those from the South West, who were conspicuouse by their absence on the last meet. Well, I saw a couple drive past so I know you are out there. I also intend to actually visit the museum too. http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/ Cheers.

    New GT86 Owner in Waiting.

Welcome Ceebee. Some over 60 and many approaching, so don't worry about having the free buspass in your pocket. Sounds like you aren't going to be using it anyway. Cheers

Toyota's New Sports Car Will Sit Above GT86

I like the look of that car. It's certainly different to most cars currently on the road. Yup! The price will be astronomical.

I agree with you Nick, but please use punctuation, please, please, please . I had to read your comment 5 times before I figured out what you were saying.

    Dogs

Took my cats to the vets this week for their checkup and boosters. They both meowed all the way there and all the way back. I think that's 'disapproval' meowing. Elf was in the back and Orc was in the front, in their travel cases though. Not having loose cats wandering around the pedals.

    Subaru STI Performance Concept

It's got the flappy paddles on it Keith (pictures 10 and 13), which to me suggests it is anautomatic. I must admit that the gear stick looks like it ought to be manual. Maybe they've hybridised it to show both options in one cockpit? I think it's a good looking version. I like the semi-gloss look they have for the paint and the red highlights to front, side and back. Still not sure about those big wings on the back though.

    Private plate choice

Hi Smudge, For what it's worth, 'meh!' to both of them . I'd keep looking if I were you, but I ain't. Unless it's obvious what the message in the plate is, I wouldn't waste my cash on them. Save it for a mod of some sort.

New guy - Pearl White 86 in Hertfordshire

Welcome Kesler. You like polishing? You'll find one or two people around who like that sort of thing. I like the pics of your EP3. Deffo better looking than the (now let's be polite) 'delightful' offering Honda have churned out currently, despite it being FWD. My mum used to have a pale yellow Civic 1.6 L (or something like that), in France many years ago. I drove it a few times out there and it seemed pretty reasonable. No idea what the R Type's like to drive though. Apart from a Mk1 Escort 1300 Sport (bought for her by my dad), my mum's never been one for sporty cars. She's gone Yariz now. Anyway, that's my Honda history completed in less than three lines. Cheers

    Hi from North Lincs

Hi Eleanor and welcome. That's it, the Sprint boys have got their slicks into you. In next to no time, you'll be touring the world to get to where you started from as quickly as possible in under 2 hours with Lewis Hamilton trying to chat you up on the way round! Seriously, enjoy the car, enjoy the club and enjoy the Sprints. Cheers

    New guy with a BRZ

Welcome Jimy3 Your car's looking good. You and Subota Boy should exchange notes on modding black cars. He's made his GT86 look a bit BRZish too. Cheers.

Ian, of the 4 days off this weekend, you go and chose to work the day we have a meet! Are you trying to shun us?
  15. Rob As Buzzard said. A breakfast meet at the Cafe at the end of your road Rob? Do they have a big carpark? When are you organising it?

    Greasy slippy roads

I love it when the roads are a bit greasy. I noticed this on Sunday at the Essex minimeet. Going through the fast bends to Bradwell on Sea I experienced a couple of 4 wheel drifts. Just little ones, but fun all the same.
  22. That's Giallo Rob. Yes Alec. I went Yellow. It's the only colour better than Orange apart from British Racing Green. I look forward to showing you The Borg (5 of 86 ) one day. Cheers.
  23. I understand from Lancaster Toyota in Chelmsford that they are selling 'Tripple Ecks' to a lady in the Southend area. She should be receiving it this week. If you are in South Essex, keep your eyes open for a lowered Orange GT. Hopefully she'll end up on this site as apparently she's quite an enthusiast. Cheers
  24. Hi Nickfrog. Use the engine over 4500rpm. It's a lively beast at those revs. You'll have to use the gears to use it, but it's fun. I usually drop to 3rd gear for a good corner, and even lower if it's a sharp one. The extra revs allow you to balance the car better on the throttle imo. Feels realy good to cancel understeer with throttle induced oversteer. Keep playing, you'll get it eventually. Cheers
