    TRD Engine mounts

Hmmm. I was looking at those. I'd be interested in what you get from them when you do eventually fit them Nige.

How long do you plan to keep your 86/BRZ?

Well, today I signed the docs to swap my GT86 in for a GT86 Giallo No 5. I'll be paying £3 more per month for it than I do currently for Tripple Ecks. I'll be picking it up on Tuesday. The dealership will also be taking my mods off Tripple Ecks (apart from the diffuser and positive shift bush) and putting them onto the Yellow Peril. I'm looking forward to showing the new colour off to you guys soon. Cheers

    Condensation inside the windows

Yes Lauren. I've noticed that sometimes it switches itself on when the car's started. Can be a bit of a pain in the rear quarters as I'd prefer to have fresh air through the car, heated or not.

    Posing with a Vulcan bomber

I used to watch the Vulcans fly over Chelmsford in formation with Jaguars, Tornadoes, Gnats, you name it, for the Queen's birthday every year. The planes would (and still do) follow the A12 down to London for the fly-by. It was always an impressive sight and loud with it.

    Condensation inside the windows

Check if you have the air recycling button switched on. Maybe you get more condensation if you don't refresh the air in the cabin? I rarely have mine on, but I still sometimes get the condensation problem.

Superglue Rob. ;-) I get the condensation special effects too. As mentioned by others, I use the a/c and rear heater.

    Hi from a Danish member

Welcome Lars. Congratulations on acquiring the car despite the tax hike. Which part of Denmark are you from? I've been to Kobenhavn a few times, though not by car, when I used to work for a Danish software company. Skol

Greeting's from north of the border.

Hi Steve and welcome. Oooo. Nice car. My local dealer's got No 83 in his showroom. I'm looking at swapping my Orange GT86 in for a Giallo (pronounced Jiallo for those with no italian). Hopefully in about 10 days time. My local dealer wants to keep No 83 in his New showroom for as long as possible, so he's sourced another one from ooop North somewhere. No idea which edition number that one is. It's been registered in my name though!! Have fun driving it. You'll soon be looking at the mods and stuff available for the car though as there's plenty out there. Cheers

    Another newbie

Welcome Adam43 and what a nice Christmas present you got yourself!!! Yes, plenty here enjoy track days, but I fear New Orleans is a bit of a drive, even for GT86 owners. Your FRS may therefore not have the pleasure of our company on a track. Cheers

I need a small favour please

Hi Nigel. I can't give you pressure readings from my car, but like Pitman, I also use Millers oil. I use the Nanodrive Racing Engine Oil CSF 0W30 NT (can be bought online from Fensport). I also use the TRD oil filter. My engine is standard apart from the Injen Short Ram air intake system, has done 17500 miles and has never given me any cause for concern. Toyota are happy to use this oil at standard service intervals (I supply) as it more than cover's the requirements for the engine. Good luck with your rebuild Cheers

    New Boy on the Block

Well 'Hello' to all you GT86/BRZ fans.If you don't know me from other places, then you won't know that I've owned my GT86 (known as 'Tripple Ecks') for about 1 year and 2 months. It's an Orange, manual with no stripes. I've added an 'Injen Short Ram Intake System', a 'Whiteline Positive Shift Kit', a 'TRD High Performance Oil Filter' and I'm using 'Miller Oils CFS 0w30 NT Fully Synthetic Engine Oil with Nano Technology'. My car's done about 8500 miles and had it's first service last month.I've been to several GT86/BRZ owner meets around the country. They are always good fun. Today's meet at the Grasshopper Inn included a test drive of the Abbey Motorsport orange GT86 with a Supercharger and Cobra exhaust system. A most enjoyable experience.:32 (20): I've also been on a Top Gear GT86 Experience session at Goodwood. I'd recommend that to anyone who's interested in driving sideways and driving fast around a circuit.:32 (1):If you are interested, my avatar is a photo of my car in front of my brother-in-law's ride. He's the flight mechanic/cable operator for a Securité Civil air/sea/mountain rescue helecopter in Normandy.:32 (19):I'm looking forward to getting involved with the discussions on this forum and hope to make a few more friends and acquaintances.Cheers:32 (16):

    Relocating to Lincolnshire, UK

Welcome DelayedBRZ.I think Lauren's covered most things for you but understand that you can't have your cars on the road (and that includes just parking them outside your house) until you have all the paperwork, tax, insurance etc. Hope your new dwelling place in Lincolnshire has a drive big enough for two cars.Cheers:32 (16):
  19. Keethos,I think that was Highlander who had to shoot off. I remember him querying if there was a petrol station near by. I suspect he had to fill up or die.Cheers:32 (16):

Hi Lauren.Good to see you got home OK. I hope the motorways weren't too boring for you.Cheers:32 (16):
  21. Hello Peeps.I'm one of those from the other place who went to the meet. As you can see, I've joined this forum as suggested by Rob and Co.When I turned up at the Grasshopper this morning, I was surprised to see 6 other cars in the carpark (that's more cars than responses on the other forum's thread). Funnily enough, 2 whites next to 2 oranges next to 2 whites and then me, another orange. Very colour coordinated. Funnily enough, another orange turned up next, to be followed by 2 more whites. See Failths top picture. We did get a grey and a black turn up to spoil the symmetry. It was an enjoyable day seeing some old and some new faces. I was quite surprised to see that Lauren is from the Time Lord planet of Gallifrey: She had a nice sonic screwdriver in her hand which turned out to be some sort of e-fag substitute.:32 (19):Some of us got to drive the Abbey Motorsport Orange (note the colour) Supercharged GT86 with Cobra exhaust system. It was running at about 230 BHP and makes for a different driving experience compared to the standard setup. I enjoyed the immediacy of the throttle response. I need to try out a turbo version now for comparison.Cheers:32 (16):
