Hi all, Looking to get a set of black alloys for the 86. Currently running stock suspension and will most likely stay like that as I live in the bumpy fens.... Wondered if people have any recommendations? I'm new to changing wheels on car, so don't really know what brands to avoid etc?

They're 8". Maybe I should lower then. I live in the fens so roads are pretty bumpy so I'd need something where the ride isn't affected too much

Thinking about this setup My only concern is that I'm on stock ride height. Think arch gap will look silly with aftermarket rims?

Okay, so 35 and then 225 tyres?

They have 38 or 35. Lower offset means they stick out further, right? Or am I being thick.

Yes, good point! Ideally 17s and nothing that'd completely change the type of ride. Daily use, looking at around £650-700. This is great help, thank you so much! I'm a moron when it comes to wheels, never really know what it all means....

My clutch has made a squeaking noise for several weeks now. Pretty sure it's the clutch release bearing - has anyone had any experience with that problem?

Took car to @Fensport yesterday as they just around corner from me. Release bearing had gone so had whole clutch replaced. Feels so much better, had a great chat with Dan and Adrian too about turbo options, remaps and manifolds. Time to save up.....

Well, I've told them to check it's the release bearing before actually going ahead. It's a bit slippy anyways

When I push pedal down, usually right at the bottom - same with when it comes up. Called up Fensport as they only around corner from me and they suggest bearing, if that's the case then may aswell just replace clutch whilst it's all out.

Haha yeah, I often have to park in pay and display as we've about 150 people for 80 spaces - so I'm very jealous of you! Be good to do this week as sun is out, maybe thurs?

Took me a few weeks to decide on an exhaust to go for, decided on a Miltek non-res catback. I bought a used one for just £190. Was aware of the issues with cracking, but I had a good lookover the exhaust and couldn't see any signs of a crack - fingers crossed it stays that way. I've had Miltek on several other cars and never had a problem. Put together a short before, after and drive-by video to give a rough idea of sound. Only other mod is the HKS panel filter. Audio is a bit pants.
