Hi have a Cobra non-resonated Cat back system with Jap slash cut tailpipes.
On a car that I brought with a few tuning parts fitted that i am returning to stock to move on.
It will be noisy on a car with cats removed.
No pictures yet ,
Looking for £150-00 plus postage
Also de-catted 2nd cat pipe £100-00 + postage
Can do a deal for £225-00 + postage for both parts. -
yep not cheap but it is the only header I have seen that completely removes the torque dip.
Your welcome to come and run on the dyno Will.

around £1550-00 inc vat at today exchange rates

Broken ringlands are caused by very high cylinder pressures which is caused normally by 2 things 1, to much boost 2, detonation causing high cylinder pressures.
If UEL's headers are causing broken ring lands I expect the tune is bad.

21 hours ago, Ade said:Basically if you want an accurate EGT reading you have to measure it with a therocouple right at the cat inlet.
Yes you are correct , the Stock EGT reading will sit around 600deg C at idle which is the controlled temp for the O2 sensor element. Once running hard you will see a delayed increased reading of EGT
-
I think your find the 600deg C is the controlled temperature of the element in the O2 internals. The sensor is heated for it to work quicker and more consistent.
Ade reacted to this -
The EGT readings that you can read on OBD readings is via the O2 sensor but this is the temp the element is running out , it is shielded from full exhaust gas flow so I would believe that temp.
SC car seem to run high EGT. Manufacturers CATS are far better quality than any of the CATS brick used on after market kits unless you spend a lot of money so they seem to last a lot longer when running on a FI car. Running the after market CAT as far away from the engine is the best way to make them last but this also causes issues with keeping them hot enough for MOT emission testing.
Thanks

We have a Pre-used Sprintex GT86/FRZ Super charger kit we have removed from a FA20 powered @ Abbey.
Good for 250+ flywheel bhp.
http://www.sprintex.com.au/frsbrz/
For sale £2000-00 comes with 69mm drive pulley for the extra boost pressure.
Any questions ask away
-
yes suction pipe can be removed and the impeller can be inspected to see to if it is turning when the motor is running?
-
I would say the gearbox in the SC unit will have failed. Remove the intake pipe into the SC unit and start the car up you should see the impeller rotate if it isnt the gearbox has failed.

Sure I will have something @ work , send me a PM to remind me and I will have a look next week.
-
We haven't done one of these for a long time due to everyone using after market headers.
To modifiy your header will be £330-00 inc vat + fitting , yes can keep the stock heat shields
-
Afraid not on a manual NA car , most went on FI cars or a Auto NA I am afraid
-
Always see 100C + on our SC car when using on the road and that isnt trying to hard. These cars do see 100C+ pretty easily we have seen.

We use the excellent ACE header with the Abbey HFC and get very good results;
remember our bhp is recorded at the hubs.
Not as cheap as the TD header but we feel it gets great results.
send me a PM on here with your email address and I can provide further dyno plots and quotes
