    Playing away

I like your thinking, I have previously considered it but as a daily driver you get too much to compromise with on a daily driver. I'd suggest putting some koni yellow adjustable shocks on with a different weight springs or stock ones for a better but highly practical setup.

    GT86 Day

Yeah that would be a great idea. Looking them up on Google maps it seems like they've done something promotional with the zn6 lot before.

    GT86 Day

I think we'd have to wait until the new year before the calendars get released to plan the event.

    GT86 Day

The record was 86 in the UK wasn't it? I'd love to visit Japan but I'd probably need a container to bring back all the cool things they have over there. There was a meet at Toyota hq a few years back perhaps we could get their interest. I see the lemans trio made it to a wash out simply beaulieu, so they could get involved. Somewhere central in the UK would be fair, perhaps a hill climb circuit?

    GT86 Day

Lauren you right about the irony with no gt86's invited but an Audi estate more than welcome. Still I think we should host our own to represent the UK. Next year it will be the 3rd or 4th before or 10th or 11th afterwards. If you look at Japan they celebrate the ae86 and the gt86 on the same day.

    GT86 Day

Okay we'll pencil it in for then. 8th of June makes more sense to me, and much better chance of getting a good turn out before the school holidays.
  7. Is it just me or does anyone else find themselves speechless as the latest singer dls reimagined 911? The attention to detail is simply astonishing. Balance between form over function is amazing. Imagine if singer did this to an 86, I wonder what it would be like. In the mean time I guess we all do our own version of 86 perfectionism.
  8. Sorry guys, due to work commitments I can't make this tomorrow now. Hope it's a good one with the extreme weather.
  9. Yep I'll met you at the pub Lee.
  10. When I was in South Africa in May they took the water shortage very seriously. The water pressure was turned down and most taps turned off and hand sanitizers instead. Saw quite a few dirty 86's in cape town though. Is there going to be a meeting point before bealieu or are we all going straight there?
  11. Cheers Lee downloaded and printed. Looking forward to this as I've only been to beaulieu once before many years ago. Hopefully no hose pipe ban as this gives me an excuse to give the car a good clean.

Bringing an 86 back from the dead

Looking great Sam. I've been brave enough to rip the whole dash. Can only imagine the head aches that caused in this heat. The bumper looks pretty good from a distance.

    Goodwood Breakfast Club

This show was better when it wasn’t so popular but it’s still great considering it’s free entry and at a fantastic venue. One year in April a snow flurry fell after the first few hours and it was quite fun watching TVR’s and Caterhams trying to leave in 4 inches of snow. I might be interested in the Japanese cars in October will have to wait until nearer the time.
  18. I’ve bought the ticket now, so I’ll see you there. Is there going to be a convoy from the pub like before?
  19. I should be down for this. Will let you know in a few weeks.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres

They are still listed as a road tyre, so I would use the same sort of caution that you would do if the standard primacy tyres are fitted, which is to slow down when the rain falls.

    Ade's Road and Track Toy

It’s taken me a few days to read through all this but what an informative and fun journey I’ve been on reading this Ade. Built yourself a great toy there and it’s nice to see improvements have been made to your driving skills as well as the cars talents. Can I ask what oil pressure gauge your using? Why did you swap the Moroso sump baffle for the cosworth version?
