  2. Due to a change in circumstances I’m reluctantly putting my Giallo up for sale. The car is completely immaculate. I purchased it in January from a Toyota dealer and intended to keep it in my garage as a second car. I had planned to keep the car for many years but unfortunately I can’t. The car is totally standard and has been carefully looked after. It has the balance of the Toyota warranty until November 2019. Asking price £17,500 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Thanks Lauren, Car is located on Wokingham Berkshire. Had its second service at Toyota in Nov 17/ 2000 miles ago. Mot at the same time, so not due til November. James Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Car decals

The side decals are on all of them. The bonnet, roof etc. were a no cost option on the Giallo from what I understand. Which number Giallo did you get? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I really like the CG stuff it is great. This company has no affiliation and is just a reseller. All I wanted was the stuff I ordered delivered within a few days. Instead I have a heap of hassle. I thought it was worth warning some like minded detailing fans. I ordered some stuff from Slims in Enfield they have good reviews! I can highly recommend Chemical Guys afterwash spray. It makes the paint super glossy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Avoid ordering from this website. I’ve had a dreadful experience with them. I was fooled by the branding and should have read the trust pilot reviews first. I ordered some CG kit in preparation for the arrival of my 86. Unfortunately it didn’t arrive so after a week I chased them, tried calling, nothing... sent a couple of emails and eventually got a reply saying there had been a bereavement so they were a bit behind and more order would be shipped that day. Obviously I was understanding of that situation. Later on that day I got an email from confirming that my order has shipped. A few more days passed and nothing so I used the tracking link on the email and no tracking info. I emailed them a couple of times asking for tracking info. After another full week they call me and apologise with some excuse about being down to one person and really sorry but would ship my order that day. He didn’t actually have the grit guards i ordered but had the same ones in a different colour. Fine I just wanted my order. Then he rings me the following day saying that the order had come back as the buckets had broken in transit, someone had put a box on top of them! Very apologetic would throw in something extra for the delay. Another week passes and finally get my delivery >3weeks (and 3 car washes) after ordering. How disappointed I was to find 2 generic white pails with Chemical guy stickers on the front. The wrong wash mitt (a cheaper CG one) and the wrong applicator pads. I checked the website for the returns policy and it wasn’t given. After numerous emails he still won’t give me returns details. The buckets clearly aren’t genuine and far too wide for the genuine grit guards to work properly. When I said that the other bits in the order were incorrect he said he sent me the different applicators as a goodwill gesture! Unbelievable! I just wanted the stuff I’d ordered. He still keeps on ignoring my request for returns policy and says the buckets are good quality. He says he’ll send me the correct wash pad and applicator but I’m a bit past it now and have no faith that he’ll actually send them. I’m pretty gutted to be honest. I paid through PayPal so hopefully I can get some money back. Thought I’d share as it looks like he has been doing this to many others looking at the trust pilot reviews. 12. I just took my new (to me) 86 Giallo back into Jemca Bracknell after a couple of weeks to get some niggles fixed. They did all the wheel alignment which was quite badly out, changed the wipers and I asked them to check the gearbox which I was struggling with when cold. They have changed the gearbox oil for a thinner oil and the car was cold when I collected it definitely seems to have improved the situation. I’ll see how it is tomorrow when it is going to be freezing cold on start up. Impressive service from Jemca and they even had another Giallo (no.58) on the forecourt! Gearbox issue improved by thinner oil

They didn’t say too much about it. I got the impression from speaking to the technician that it is just the way it is. The gearbox oil change to the thinner oil has definitely improved the situation. The car was freezing cold this morning and went straight in to 2nd. It still wasnt amazing but a noticeable improvement. Hopefully if I get those springs etc. It will improve it further still. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was having problems changing into 2nd on the way up but worse when coming down. Definitely got better when warm but still sometimes tough on the way down... bordering on unacceptable for 3 year old car. It felt noticeably better when I picked it up but could be placebo as they had done 4 wheel alignment too. The car felt better overall. I’ll let you know how it feels in the morning as it’s gonna be another cold one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Martin, does the BRZ not come with tyre pressure warning? Or was this an upgrade? James Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So I picked up my Giallo 86 yesterday evening and have been getting used to the car. Generally I’m over the moon with the car, it drives superbly. I picked up on a couple of things that I’m not sure about. It could be that I’m not used to the car or they could be faults: 2nd gear seems like hard work. Some times it slips in fine, other times (particularly down shifting) it is hard work. Should I be taking it back to Toyota to get this rectified or is it just the character of this model? Cruise control - I can’t get it to work at all. It sets the speed and the light comes on but the cruise doesn’t seem to engage. I checked the manual and I appear to be doing it right but maybe I’m missing something obvious. Otherwise it is not working. Tailgate needs a proper hard slam to shut, is this normal. I need to change the head unit as the volume knob is tiny and so smooth it is almost unusable. Everything else is absolutely amazing! My company car is an S3 which is quick but a bit sterile, I dont feel disappointed in the engine performance on the 86. Quite the opposite, I was pleasantly surprised after many reviews led me to believe it is underpowered . When there is a break in the weather I’ll post some proper pics!
