    Subaru brz price rise

I’d very much doubt it and it would probably push people more to the Toyota. As why would you pair a premium for essentially the same car especially when general opinion seems these cars are expensive for what they are already

    Reverse bulbs

Hi, looking to make my reverse lights a bit brighter. I always thought the facelift were leds but they are not so looking for some bright led bulbs to fit. Has anyone got any they recommend? according to the book it should be a W16W but when I google this it comes up with loads and they all have different wedge types, are these all the same fitting?

    MFactory 4.67 final drive

Hi, just seeing if there is any interest in this. Part will be removed at the start of March, only going back to standard as I’m going turbo. Has been fitted for about 8months so only done a few thousand miles. Think it’s a great mod if staying NA £300 posted

No that top speed is the max the car can pull due to its power, gearing wise I think it is something like 205mph if you could redline it so you may actually gain top speed on an auto. i can’t think of many tracks where a Na gt86 can get close to its top speed but could be wrong

    MFactory 4.67 final drive

No speedo is the same as stock as the speed sensor is taken from the wheels. dont know about top speed but it has to be about 130or so if not more. On my 18” wheels my speedo is pretty accurate and 74mph is around 3500 i actually haven’t noticed much change in mpg day to day use I tend to sit a gear higher than standard and on a run can still get over 40

    MartinT's BRZ

Yes if it’s just dampeners your after I think it’ll be bilstein’s. is yours a facelift brz? Do they have the changed dampers like the gt86, shameless plug I have some standard facelift shocks for sale which have different dampening settings which make them smoother on the road and I always wondered how these would pair with lowering springs

    MartinT's BRZ

I have and the most popular choice on here for daily use seems to be tein flex A’s. It’s firmer than standard but not to harsh at all

    Tyre sizes for FI

Hi, I just wondered what size tyres people are running with turbos fitted? my car is a daily but is going on a few track days this year. Getting the TD kit fitted in a couple of weeks. at the moment I’m running 225/40/18 on an 8” wheel, will this be enough tyre for the increase in power? I’m not sure about fitting 235/40 as I feel the tyres will be getting to big overall 245/35 I would be ok with but would this work on an 8j wheel? any input appreciated

    Tyre sizes for FI

This was part of the reason why I asked. Of course I will be seeing how my current tyres go but was just after others feed back who have already gone forced induction. My previous car handled more power fine on these tyres but that could’ve been helped by having more weight above the driven wheels.

Need help with BBK kit (Reyland kit or other)

I’d probably look into an oil cooler too as the temperatures are much hotter and more consistent in spain

    Buy now or wait?

I think very few of these cars have reverse sensors fitted they are pretty small so easy to park. regarding the pcp I’m not sure as Toyotas deals were never that good so I doubt many are actually bought that way.

    Oil cooler needed?

Hi, I am getting the TD turbo fitted in a couple of weeks and just wanted confirmation that the oil cooler is needed. I am planning on fitting one, my car is used as a daily and mostly fairly short trips but I have booked a few track days for this year. I just wasn’t sure how hot this would run with no cooler fitted, I think mike uses 0-40 oil.l thanks

    Oil cooler needed?

I wonder if there is a difference on the temp sensor on the facelift? As on a sustained motorway cruise mine sits around 105-110 stock. On a trackday last month the oil was touching 130 when I backed off and this day was 0-1degree outside so would be far to hot if it was a warmer day. I know it’d run hotter again due to the turbo but wasn’t sure if the thicker oil would mange the temps better

    Tail Wagging

I would argue that the primacys should not be fitted full stop. You say use as they were intended but I had quite a few case were mild acceleration coming off a roundabout would kick the back end out. It would be a compromise if you were using something like pilot sports or track specific tyres but for an all round tyre fitted as standard I thought the grip was laughable in anything other than dry conditions

    Tail Wagging

Going to have to disagree with this I found primacys shocking in cold and wet weather even when driving slow and sensible. I would put them worse than pretty much any of half decent tyre on any car iv drive . They were far to easy to slide on the road when not even trying and the amount of time my traction control used to kick in was laughable. Got an uphill dual carriage way slip road by my house and the tc used to kick in sometimes changing from 2nd to 3rd on stock power . The pilot sport 4 are so much better in all conditions. It was slow but did do a track day at 0degrees on them and think that would have been impossible on the primacys
