    TPMS???

Btw, I have just found this page in the more comprehensive version of the owners manual. Seems to agree with reply from the Toyota magazine so fingers crossed for next wheel swaps.

    TPMS???

Thanks for the replies Martin T and spikyone. I have successfully rotated the original wheels previously without triggering any TPMS warning. I have had it reset at local dealer for £63! The dealer representative said "it probably happened because the original wheels were separated from the car when you changed them for the trackday". i asked if it meant I'd need an ECU reset every time wheels with TPMS valves and car were 'separated', eg. for a puncture repair and he said "it might be OK if they weren't separated for too long"!. Not very helpful. However I did then find quite a good article in the Toyota magazine https://mag.toyota.co.uk/how-does-tpms-work/comment-page-3/?unapproved=34224&moderation-hash=1d9bb87743dcc68be7d2ec95b3824424#comment-34224 Better still, I posted a comment under the article and within a few hours got the reply below. I am now wondering if I screwed the process up by trying to clear the warning light with the dashboard reset switch while I had the wheels without sensors on the car. I'm leaving well alone now till I get the MOT done in April then I'll try the wheel swap again without messing with reset button. ToyotaUKsays: 3 March 2021 at 5:03 pm Hi Mark, Thanks for providing these details. We’ve checked with our technical team and, providing the original wheels go back to the same location and then the initialisation process in the Owner’s Manual is performed using the switch, then the system should function correctly unless there is a fault somewhere. Thanks.

    TPMS???

Martin, I know this topic is old but can you confirm warning light clears OK when the stock wheels go back on? Mine did not when I returned to stock wheels after using a set with no sensors for a while and I’m wondering what I might be doing wrong Mark

GR Yaris who's going for it?

Five star review from Clarkson in The Sunday Times today
  5. Mine is also a pearlescent white 2017. Recently had about 60% of the front bumper painted after minor damage. Normal repair price and match is perfect.

    Hello all, my gt86 blanco

And if you are forced down the Toyota route consider easing the financial load by selling the unused side decal. If you were nearer me I’d certainly buy it.

    Hello all, my gt86 blanco

Understand the desire for originality but imo the remaining side decal was the best. Certainly consider living with it for a while and see what you think after a few months of ownership. Have fun

Post your GT86 / BRZ pic of day!

Just to underline that it is a GT, these pictures taken on a 3000+ mile European road trip in 2018. Hotel parking on the Amalfi coast and a great Villa stopover near Verona

    225/45/17 tyres?

Just checked wheels on my 2017 Pro and they are 17 x 7. I’ve run Maxxis Victra Sport 5 size 225 (215 not available I think) on one wet track day so far and thought they were good. The price was £183 for four from tyreleader (plus fitting)

Thoughts on Pirelli PZERO Nero Tyres?

Thanks for the tyreleader recommend, I hadn't heard of them. Just had four Maxxis Victra Sport 5 225/45/R17 91V delivered for £184 all in - great price and looking forward to seeing how they perform at Bedford on 28 August. Maxxis tyres were also a suggestion in this thread so thanks also to SimonG68 and Deacon, others? for that.

  13. Off for my first MOT tomorrow - some rust on brake discs that I’ll need to rub off on the local by-pass first - I’m sure [emoji1986] will understand if I get stopped [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yes, also glad you’ve got in. I’ve been using a solar trickle charger periodically but now also ordered a ctek unit with battery condition indication and the fly leads I can leave in place - seems like a good solution as long as you don’t have to trail power cables across a public footpath Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Window box

Temporarily installed window box when my wife decided to buy plants on day out in Worcestershire countryside. I’m thinking it looks good enough to become permanent 😎
  17. When I bought mine and saw battery issues I checked I had the 65 battery then use a solar conditioner with panel left on the dashboard. So far so good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Similar thing happened to me in a Florida liquor store when I was 52ish - felt good till store owner said he was checking to see if I was entitled to the over 60s discount! Ouch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
