Thanks Keith, had my plugs and big service last year so just a basic service this time, goes in on 16th March.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkWhere are you having the recall work done, Lee?

Lee. I am having the plugs done while engine is out. Might as well. If you are in the Toyota 5+ Club, you should get 20% off the cost of the plugs. Joining the club is free. Having 2 Toyotas over 5 years old I find the Club very useful! 20% off MOTs too!

Dealer will refer me to Toyota UK who will arrange for a "specialist" to carry out the work, rather than main dealer.

Maybe an idea to contact Mark and see what he says...Very useful Nigel! Thank you!!

My dealer rang today wanting to book me in for the recall and order the parts. He left a message. I don't want to be the first one to have a Cosworth done there ie a guinea pig. I am going to ring him back to try and put him off. I have not had a letter either. Do I have to use the local dealer?

Yes indeed. It was worth spending £100 on a pulley just in case, while they are still available. Am sure you will love it after the remap. Adrian mapped mine while it was still N/A and I was very pleased with his work.

Also do you know if that is 300bhp to the wheels or the crank?
From what I understand I'm getting around 270bhp currently (ECUTEK catback cosworth map). Recently replaced the front half of the exhaust and hoping to install smaller pulley (which claims to add 10-15bhp) before remapping towards the end of this month.
Just wondering how much wriggle room I'll have after that, cheers.
If you have the standard Cosworth map it starts at around 270, depending on the car. The map can then be adjusted for your exhaust which might give you another 10. I made enquiries with Matt at Cosworth about the smaller pulley, and he pointed out that the standard "safe" map has built-in margins for reliability. If you then fit the smaller pulley, on top of exhaust mods, you use up that safety margin.
I have a smaller pulley, but am not going to fit it until I have been in a car with pulley fitted, to assess if the improvement is worth the reduced reliability risk.

Safe journey Martin. Be good to see you!

Yes we have held two meets there so far and it is a great place for a get-together.
Hopefully we can come along to this. Great idea!
