Yes we have held two meets there so far and it is a great place for a get-together. Hopefully we can come along to this. Great idea!

Where are you having the recall work done, Lee?

Simon Toyota 5 plus Club.com should provide the link.

Lee. I am having the plugs done while engine is out. Might as well. If you are in the Toyota 5+ Club, you should get 20% off the cost of the plugs. Joining the club is free. Having 2 Toyotas over 5 years old I find the Club very useful! 20% off MOTs too!
  6. Dealer will refer me to Toyota UK who will arrange for a "specialist" to carry out the work, rather than main dealer.
  7. Very useful Nigel! Thank you!!
  8. My dealer rang today wanting to book me in for the recall and order the parts. He left a message. I don't want to be the first one to have a Cosworth done there ie a guinea pig. I am going to ring him back to try and put him off. I have not had a letter either. Do I have to use the local dealer?

    Cosworth Supercharged GT86

Yes indeed. It was worth spending £100 on a pulley just in case, while they are still available. Am sure you will love it after the remap. Adrian mapped mine while it was still N/A and I was very pleased with his work.

    Cosworth Supercharged GT86

If you have the standard Cosworth map it starts at around 270, depending on the car. The map can then be adjusted for your exhaust which might give you another 10. I made enquiries with Matt at Cosworth about the smaller pulley, and he pointed out that the standard "safe" map has built-in margins for reliability. If you then fit the smaller pulley, on top of exhaust mods, you use up that safety margin. I have a smaller pulley, but am not going to fit it until I have been in a car with pulley fitted, to assess if the improvement is worth the reduced reliability risk.

  16. Pete at Fuel Coffee House has sent me his pics. Here's a taster! Someone was not enjoying the meet!! Thankfully these enthusiasts were !!
  17. Here is Martin's lovely BRZ. Shame we only had one attend. How it was so clean after coming all the way from Basingstoke I'm not sure. Thanks Martin!
  18. 1pm to 4pm - Drive over.......park up......re-fuel and discuss car stuff.......roll out. Taking place just outside Small Dole village on the A2037 between Steyning and Henfield, on the Golding Barn Industrial Estate BN5 9XH. The entrance is virtually opposite a former petrol station. There are speed bumps once you leave the A2037 on the approach road to the industrial estate but they are on one side of the road only. There is a 10mph speed limit on this road. Parking will be reserved for those confirming attendance. Come and grab some coffee and cake and spend a few hours with like-minded guys and gals. Have your car photographed if you like. Look up Fuel Coffee House on Facebook for more info. The coffee is excellent and there are varied tea combinations available. Pic attached from the last meet we had there, which was enjoyed by many.
