  1. Hi.

I have a rare set of speedline turinis for sale. These are perfect for an 86 as they are the same offset and centre bore as the stock wheels.

    5x100 PCD
    7.5J width
    ET48
    56.1 centre bore

They come with 2x uniroyal rainsport 5's and 2x uniroyal rainsport 3's each with just under 8mm of tread left so they are practically brand new. These are in size 215/45/R17.

All the wheels are straight and true, with no buckles. They have ben resprayed from the original gold. Come with original centre caps. There is some minor curb rash and cosmetic damage but it is minor.

These are professional motorsport wheels used in plenty of different motorsports. They are flowformed so they are super strong and very light.

I am selling as these do not fit on my car, my center bore is too big.

I am after £1200 ONO. I am interested in trades too. I am looking at 17 inch wheels, 7J/8J depending on offset. With tyres too ideally. Centre bore needs to be minimum 57.1 (I have a skoda). Any higher centre bore I can use spigot rings.

Collection from Liversedge West Yorkshire or I can deliver within 50 miles for fuel money.

  2. 2014 Lightning Red Toyota GT86 TRD

Up for sale is my pride and joy, sadly the time has come for her to go. She needs to go as I need funds to move house.

This is the GT86 Toyota Racing Development model in Lightning Red. The TRD models were only announced in black and white, with a limited run of 250. Out of that 250 only 166 were sold. The trd was £6500 more than the standard model new. None were announced in red. I have researched this and found only 3 other red TRD’s on the road. I have never seen another red TRD for sale. Making this car very rare.

    Specs below:

    Xenon headlights
    Bluetooth
    Cruise Control
    Climate Air Conditioning
    Electric Front Windows
    Radio CD Player
    Aux / USB
    Power Folding Mirrors
    Electric Door Mirrors
    Remote Central Locking
    All Round Airbags
    Alarm
    Auto Lights
    ISO fix rear seats
    Limited Slip Differential
    TRD bodykit
    TRD petrol cap
    TRD oil cap
    TRD exhaust system
    2nd cat delete
    Resonator delete
    TRD gear knob
    TRD alloys 18’’
    Spare wheel 17’’
    Jack kit
    Locking wheel nuts
    Keyless start
    Keyless entry
    Keyless unlock and locking
    Toyo proxxes T1R's
    Disc brakes
    Full service history
    2 keys

At the time of writing the mileage is 35819. This will increase slowly as this is my daily driver.

The next service is due at the end of August 2020.

MOT expires on the 21st of May 2020.

I have paperwork for extras purchased (spare wheel, bolt for spare wheel, proxxes fitting), paperwork for the MOT’s and services.

During my ownership I have been part of the GT86 owners club and proudly displayed this car at many shows across the UK. I have tried keeping this car as pristine as possible. The car has never missed a beat and drives perfect. These are a real experience to drive, the handling is very tight and they are extremely fun. With it having the TRD exhaust system, it is quite loud.

The only bad point is that the right exhaust well has a slight scuff on it. You can't really see it unless you are looking under the car. This does not affect performance in any way.

    Smoke free home.

    £14,500 OVNO

    Contact me for more information.

No time wasters or tyre kickers.

Deposit will be needed to secure the car.

  3. Do fun2drive
Rent a JDM legend from Omoren
Driving is stupidly easy over there, nobody does the speed limit, just watch out for speed cameras
Motorway is expensive as you have tolls
    Do touges and mountain passes
If you are going for 2 weeks take around £2k spending money
    Jetlag will hit hard
If you are going through dubai check laws and customs as they are super strict

It's probably easier and way cheaper to get an exhaust place to make you an unresonated centre pipe between the second cat and rear silencer. You could also lose the second cat, that will make it a bit louder.

Is having 1 cat still legal? I want it loud and will 1 cat make it loud. It's the TRD quad exhaust system. I am not sure about the legality. There is a custom exhaust place near me. I might just take it in there and get what you said done and lose a cat.

Do you own the TRD quad exhaust? or just the duo exits

    Quad

    How badly kinked?

Non-Res if you plan on leaving the rest of the exhaust stock.

Kinked enough that my right tips are more recessed then my left tips by quite a bit and it bugs me. Thought I might as well make it a bit more fun while I am at it.

    Kinks? Should you really change?

The kink has made one side of my exhaust a lot more recessed and it is doing my head in.

From what I found while looking when I got my TRD a year ago, unfortunately it being TRD doesn't really increase its worth by much if at all. I would look around at other stock 86's of the same age and similar mileage and just add a few hundred quid on top.

On a side note, saw it last weekend at JPS (which I believe is where that image was taken?), looked lovely. Was debating whether it was the legitimate factory red TRD or one you'd added the kit to.

Yeah it was at JPS. It's 100% genuine red TRD. It's even on the VIN and paperwork.

Looking at prices 2014 TRD's with around 27k are going for nearly 17k. I have looked on autotrader. Does this seem about right?

  6. Hi.

I don't know if this is in the right area but here goes:

I am potentially getting a new car, something more powerful and would like my current 86 appraising, who better then the owners club to help me!

I can give more in depth details if requested however I would just like a general idea.

2014 red TRD (Genuine red TRD, extremely little exist).
    27k miles on clock
    FSH
    2x keys
    passed MOT's with flying colours
    No issues ever had
Only ever run on premuim fuel (mainly vpower)
always kept clean and looked after
    Been to many shows
    Completely standard TRD model
Toyo proxxes t1r all round with around 7mm of tread left
    Thinkware dashcam fitted
Spare space saver wheel in boot.

  7. So my 86 has developed a sound. It sounds like the clutch is panting when it is pressed in. It still bites at the same area. The gearbox is still fine. I have searched and cannot find anything. I am thinking the noise might have been there the whole time I just haven't noticed. Car has about 30K and I don't drive it hard and have never tracked it.

Anyone ever had this or is it just the nature of the car being noisy.

Upon further research it may be the throwout bearing.

Anybody got any info or experience with this?
