Oil filler cap left of by dealer! Advice pls!!!

Might as well thrash the nads off it and blame any subsequent issues on the oil
  2. Looking good. Good choice of tyre supplier too I use them all the time
  3. Bugger, I ordered my RPF1s last month and was keeping quiet hoping I'd be the only one...mine are due to be in country next week Shame they stopped making matte black in 18x8 as I would've preferred that but I think gold will be ok

    PING! - Easter Sunday

I would as it's my doorstep, but, family duties call Weather is supposed to be piss poor tomorrow, so you should be able to get some sideways action easily enough on the greasy roads Have fun!

    which supercharger?

Well, I wanted the ECU updated with the latest calibration given it was 18months old and a lot of development has happened since then. 3 hours of tuning that didn't cost me anything but the time to drive there and back was worthwhile. However, I think Iain makes too much money from GTR stuff (and now BMW) - so the Toyobaru stuff is lower down the priorities. Shame cause the stuff they do is good, but he's dealing with people who are throwing silly money at him to get stupid numbers out of GTRs...(fantastic machine but not as enjoyable or rewarding as a GT86 to drive IMO - and yes I've driven one).

    which supercharger?

Gone in terms of engine is being built...they have some stuff going on that might be interesting... I spent 3 hours with Iain last week getting an update, pain in the arse to get hold of him (because he's busy) but when you do, it's worth it!

Sprintex Supercharger Vs all the others

Hmm, after a bit of browsing you can find this post: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1607662&postcount=15 Looks like Bob is a bit pissed off with the kit, but he's not quoting any numbers w.r.t. pressure drop across the i/c (which is kinda fundamental to i/c design). I have to admit, looking at the torque curve, I like the impact the Sprintex has on the low end though

    Treating new wheels

Per Rob's thread on his latest polishing toy, this this is the stuff I've seen recommended as being the best. Apparently it'll last pretty well too - Rob's view just helped to push me over the edge to get it for when my news wheels arrive...

    Rob got a new toy

Sounds good, might have to look at getting someone to do my paintwork after I get the scratches and dents fixed :~

You tried the Gtechniq C5 Alloy Wheel Armour? Thinking of trying it out when my new wheels arrive, reviews seem pretty good, and I like the idea that getting rid of brake dust is made easier!

Why do people lie about mods?

Thanks for this, Ed, now at least I know I'm not the only one

    Garage vs Mobile Fitted Tyres

I always use Event Tyres these days - always good service and prices on tyres for my S2000, M3 and my winters on the GT86. Had a very bad experience at a local garage where they crossed threaded some of the lug nuts and ended up damaging the threads on the lugs... I expect with many places, it's the luck of who you get doing the fitting...

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

Nice, so remove stock primary, add high flow cat and have fun with the s/c Now I'm wishing I hadn't just bought my wife a new car...better get saving again...

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

Mark, How clean is it with no primary and a high flow secondary cat? Are you monitoring EGT? You mentioned before some concerns about temps for the stock primary cat I like the look of that torque curve, especially if you get rid of the little dip. It shows why in-gear acceleration is so much better.

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

Why is it so lean at low RPMs? I presume the comparison is vs stock? Looks good though...

    Forced Induction

I've got the Litchfield non-FI setup on my car (i.e. Milltek + ECUTek) and it works fine, however, getting hold of updates, or even a copy of the rom on my car so I can do some data logging with the cable is impossible - I lost count of the phone calls made and emails sent chasing to get it and have given up...basically means no further business from me. There's no question that Iain Litchfield knows his stuff, but he's too busy with GTR big bucks stuff that you won't get much airtime... Adrian and Mark are both active here which is a massive plus and both seem really helpful too, have ridden in both cars, (only driven Mark's S/C) it's a tough decision, and not one I'm jumping to quickly, even though FI is definitely needed. It's great that there's a choice!

    EVO Magazine and Abbey Motorsport

I'd be interested in before and after dyno plots to see the difference as you've got the full LPP too, right? Plus Mark is a lot closer ...

I agree. A bit of a disappointment in terms of content, but, unfortunately that tends to be the case with a lot of these magazines Not sure I agree about "buzz-saw shriek" either...I didn't find the whine of the SC to be that loud or offensive, more a pleasant reminder of what's going on under the bonnet

Downloading for free now...having driven the car, it'll be interesting to see what they say...Must admit I was impressed with the driveability

    My Wikkid sound install

I have a DAB antenna stuck on the inside of the windscreen, it's good enough...much prefer DAB to FM, but I do listen to the stuff on my USB mostly (high bitrate AAC encodes)

    My Wikkid sound install

Map updates are expensive anywhere unfortunately... I haven't noticed much difference, maybe a slightly faster startup and scan of the usb. I had a couple of resets in the past, so I'm hoping it fixes that. BTW I don't think your focals are 2-way coaxials, they're 2-way components. Coaxial would mean you've got woofer and tweeter mounted on the same central axis in one unit.

    My Wikkid sound install

A worthwhile investment imho, especially as I have the same hu (new firmware available on Alpine website btw)

Trip to Demon-Tweeks in Wrexham Saturday am

Anyone know if they have low-profile helmets? I have to sit at a poor angle to fit my big head in with a helmet on... It's bearable for short the short stints in a track day, but I'd prefer to be sitting closer to my normal driving position
