    Weird head unit problem.

This morning my HU would not function properly. No sat nav or phone, music but no source choice or graphics. Turned car off and on a can as you do and all seemed fine. However sat nav was telling me a known 41 mile trip was 33 miles, continually telling me to take exits and exits that were not there, but most weird of all was jumping backwards and forwards between the normal 3D image (colours for roads etc) and a beautiful display showing roads as roads, grass and trees on the verge. Never had that showing before. Booked into Toyota next week, though coming back from the garage seemed normal again. Anyone had this, or similar?
  2. Struggling to get my head round winter tyres and what may be best for me. Live in central Scotland and 90% at least of my driving is an 82 mile round trip for work from Paisley to Grangemouth. 1 mile A road, 3 miles dual carriageway, 35 miles motorway, 2 miles A road each way. 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off. After the weather of the last few days I am strongly contemplating a set of winter alloys with winter tyres, which would probably be around a £1000. Car is an aero, so not sure what size I could get away with without it looking silly. I suspect 17 to be the lowest? 18 inch OZ ultraleggas on at the moment. I see various options, would appreciate feedback/advice. 1. Do nothing. Hope the worst has passed and if a particularly spell occurs don't go into work. (Not sure how well that would go down.) 2.Buy winter alloys and tyres, sizes? 3. Put cross climates on, from what I believe these would be a good all year round option? 4. Buy a cheap economical car, circa a grand. Pros to this that I can see is that it would keep the mileage down on the 86, would not care if it got a bump and would save money on petrol. Cons, 2 road tax/insurance costs, would need to use it most of the time for work to make the savings in petrol. Please give any advice/feedback, constructive or humorous would be appreciated. If buying winter alloys, was thinking of these.
  3. Trading in the 86, it goes tomorrow. Thanks to all for the info and banter, great forum. Could someone please advise how I remove my profile?
  4. Toyota centre caps in black, don't think they have been on car as it came with OZ wheels £17 delivered. Red HVAC covers, supposed to fit straight on but I used blu tac as a bit loose, £6 delivered. Heated seats switch surround plaque, 2 adhesive strips still in place but I would suggest using fresh, £11 posted.
  5. Hi Sparky, yes still available. PM me your address please.
  6. Centre caps and heated seat surround both provisionally sold.

    Turbo charged 86 new platform

Love it! Takes the piss for someone not being prepared for snow owning a RWD GT86 that we all know is going to be crap in the snow, and the snow was coming. Then moans that their GT86 which we all knew was 200hp before buying one, gets smashed on the dual carriageway as 200hp isn't enough. Oh the irony.
  11. You don't seem to able let it go either lol. As I said, not one member in the thread has supported your stance.
  12. Sorry you are annoyed. If you reread the thread you will see 5 or so members have expressed disquiet. Plus a couple have "liked" my posts, I don't see anyone supporting your stance.
  13. You're expected to be part of a community, not try and profit from other members.
  14. See, that is what we are getting at, that you fail to grasp. I, and I suspect the vast majority on here, would have tried to recoup what I paid, or taken a slight hit. Not try and profit from other forum members.
  15. Arrogant? Lol, you're the one trying to profit from club members.
  16. Obviously no one from this forum..........
  17. Still haven't answered the question if they are sequential? If you want profit, ebay. If you want to sell for a fair price to another enthusiast, here. Simple fact is everyone on this thread knows they are overpriced and that you are trying to use the forum for profit, but not as a trader. Leaves a sour taste. Plus no one is spamming yout thread, we are giving honest opinions. If you don't like them, tough.

    Why gt86

If you can't get a test drive, have you checked how much your annual insurance will be?
  19. So you paid circa £240 plus import, but you want £350 plus shipping? Are they sequential?
  20. Estimated Total(GBP)GBP £188.97* That is with expedited shipping, 3-5 days. Yes some import tax but you are probably about £125 more expensive to save a couple of days. You may want to add if these are sequential? Sorry for the large text, can't seem to edit it.

    Gt86 price

Lol, you negotiate. There is always price movement when buying, with or without a trade in.

    Toyota SatNav weirdness

Spend the £100 on a good stand alone sat nav, not worth paying for updated maps on our unit. Or just use your phone.
