This will probably be your best bet, without going for crazy pads or a BBK: https://www.torqen.uk/toyota/toyota-gt86/brakes/pack-deals/20228-toyota-gt86-stoptech-discs-sport-performance-pads-kit-slotted.html As for a caliper refurb, I'd go to either: https://www.biggred.co.uk/ or https://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/

You wont get any increase in NVH with the STi or TRD engine mounts, as these are similar to the OEM design, just using a firmer rubber. I'd avoid the Perrin and Cusco ones as they are predominately made from metal and are known to increase the NVH.

Quick math, says there is about £5K to £6K worth of mods there and the car stock is atleast worth £10K. So around £16K in total, ofcourse that on the assumption that you've kept all the stock parts and that you'd be removing and refitting everything. There are a couple of boosted cars for sale at the moment for around £13.5K, one of which is HKS supercharged and a couple of TD turbo cars.

@MangoNo5 remind me what mods do you have?

You ideally don't want it going above 125°c, without an oil cooler. It'd take some going to get it that hot on the street mind. Just make sure you run a decent oil and you should be fine. For referrence I'll happy run laps on the track with my oil at 125°c so long as it's stable at that temperature. However I'm also running Millers Nanodrive CFS oil, which is rated for 125°c with temperature spikes upto 150°c.

You could always run a fuel additive such as VP Racing Octanium and have two maps one for with it and one without. https://vpracingfuels.com/product/octanium-unleaded/?c=207&

@3782mc has it.

Event Title: Midlands Lunch Meet - Sat 19th June (Hoof Beats) Event Author: will300 Event Date: 19.06.2021 Hello Everyone As lockdown restrictions are now easing it's time to host another Midlands lunch meet. For this we'll be meeting at the Hoof Beats restaurant just of the A5 near Burntwood / Brownhills on Saturday 19th June at 11:30. I've provisionally booked an outside table for 6, we can book another table if we get more interest. The car park is a good size, however we expect it to get rather busy. Because of this and the fact I we'd all like to park closer together, we should park around the back of the restaurant where there is a large parking area. Please can we all aim to get there for 11:30, no earlier please. This will give us time for everyone to arrive before we sit down for lunch at 12. Here's the menu: https://www.hoofbeatsbnk.co.uk/main-menu/ Thanks for looking. Will Location: 9 Watling St, Brownhills, WS8 6JR Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/3EZj8FAjfCA4EbxA6 Date: Saturday 19th June From: 11:30 with lunch booked at 12:00. ^ This. If your only doing fast road driving and 1 or 2 trackdays a year, then the OE oil will be fine. It might be worth asking your local Toyota dealer to see if you can get the Gazoo Racing specific oil. I know this is available for the Supra & GR Yaris: https://toyotagazooracing.com/jp/gr/grparts/oil/

Don't forget our cars have quite a high compression ratio, which is favourable to N/A applications not boosted applications. Using you're above list, all the car listed have a lower ratio. 1. GR Yaris - 10.5:1 2. Golf GTi - 9.6.1 3. Civic Type R - 9.8:1 And as @Varelco states the conrods weren't specifically designed with boosted power in mind so they were made to support a lower torque limit.

I've split the Harrop thread up to remove the HKS Supercharger chat as it holds no relevance to the Harrop discussion. Please keep all HKS chat to this thread.

Is anyone forced induction and still passing emissions tests legitimately?
will300 replied to Jay Bamrah's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
It's legal, assuming the car still meets the MOT emission requirements for that vehicle. -

Well technically you not currently legal anyway. 😂 -

As @Church said, if you buy a supercharger and keep the stock exhaust system you should legally pass the emissions test without issue. You can get away with changing the catback and still be legal. It's when you start changing exhaust manifold & front pipe is when you'll have problems. From a legal point the car needs to be as it left the factory or with an OEM spec equivalent part. In the case of our cars, they have two catalytic converters if you remove one of them it's technically no longer compliant and therefore should be an instant fail. Now the grey area is, you could have a decat exhaust manifold but the stock front pipe (vice verse) and then pass the emissions test. This isn't legal as you've still removed a cat, but if the MOT tester can't see the decat and you've passed the emissions, they'll mark it down as a pass anyway. As for turbo kits, the majority don't have catalytic converters fitted to them and I can only think of 4 turbo kits that do an option for a catted version, these are: Works Turbo Kit HKS Turbo kit Blitz turbo kit MPS Engineering -
