Its not worth it really, the cost of the installation and the yearly fee means its not cost affective. I know because my Evo had a CobraTrak tracker fitted and it was something like £200 a year but it only reduced my insurance premium by £20.

I have some 3D Carbon style ones, but I've not used them yet mainly because I can't decide what I'm doing car wise. They are correctly spaced and have the legal markings. However on the legal side of things the government website states "Characters on a number plate can be 3D." See here: https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/rules-number-plates

Update - 10/04/15: Food: Due to the lack of decent Pub's nearby I've decided to knock the food idea on its head. If you want to eat at Star City you have plenty of options from McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Pizza Hut, Harvester and a few others. Address: 32 Watson Road, Birmingham, B7 5SA. Parking: Star City can get very busy some weekends. The best option for parking is in the multi-storey car park on the right hand side as you enter. If the ground floor of the multi-storey is empty park towards the back near the outside section. If the ground floor looks busy, park on the 1st floor. Also the multi-storey is not one of these small one with lots of tight turns, it big with plenty of space. Please note: There are speed bumps throughout the whole car park (including the multi-storey). Hi Tareim Yes it does, just remove the number plate first and then the horrible black plastic holder unscrews: I did look at getting a carbon fibre cover made, however it would have meant sourcing a bumper to use.
