Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments
will300 replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Sounds good, make sure you fill the 86 up in the morning -
The MX5 has always been a driver focused car that was built on a simple rwd chassis, because of this it can please those who want the wind in the hair feeling now and then (think back to the old british sports car). However the flip side of the coin is that with some simple mods (i.e. lowering springs, exhaust & air filter) you can change it into a pointy and nimble b road/track weapon. Infact I have a MK1 which I intend to convert into a track beast and I'm also considering replacing the BRZ with the MK4.

fyi added a pre-meet location for Japfest 2: http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/2991-japfest-2-midlands-meet-location/
-
Its £29k for the base model or £33k for top spec with metallic paint. Which is still not exactly cheap.
-
Welcome dude. You've actually reminded me to sort out a midlands convoy for JF2. Also Rob might have some spare stand passes.

The new CTR is without doubt a very good hot hatch. Possibly the best of the current FWD market. However like all hot hatches they aren't really a sports car, while I can say it is stupidly fast and handles reasonably we'll it just didn't feel involving as the 86/BRZ. Hell it took me 3 tests drives and several days thinking about buying one (I even have a deposit placed on one atm) before I realised the 86/BRZ is the best budget sports car out. If I needed a family car / car with 5 doors and a massive boot, then no doubt I'd have one in an instant but I'd still miss the BRZ. Oh and for the looks, I quite like it but then I like aggressive looking cars with a massive wing p.s. I also couldn't stomach spending £33k on one.

For those who are considering the new Mustang..
will300 replied to a topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Mr Harris seemed to like it and it does look good, but it will never be as fun as the 86/BRZ. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaoW8cW_R0w -
Favourite Racing Car When Growing Up?
will300 replied to JamesP1991's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
There is only one race car for me, its got to be the Subaru Impreza WRC 2000. Doing it's thing: -
The new cloth seats in the BRZ SE are much nicer than the previous version, still not quite as nice as the half leather though.
-
Your more than welcome to come and have a chat / proper look around it.
-
I'll happily sell you mine, but your at least a grand short.
-
Good lord no, its an awesome beast. Best "drivers" car I've ever owned. This is my second one, the first one meet a sorry end and I'm trying to decide if I should move on that's all.
-
Welcome Willtl When I last looked you could get the BRZ in White in SE spec. Have a look around on autotrader & subaru website and find a decent pre-registered one, there should be a couple about. As for the radio, yes its crap but there is plenty of aftermarket options available. That was the first thing to go in mine, also the aftermarket pioneer subaru fit is crap. Yes you should be able to get discount on one, just be prepared to walk away if they don't want to do anything. Will p.s. I'll sell you my blue one if you want?
-
Ian it looks like a bloody good match in the pictures. Definitely finishes the car off

I bought a couple of these a few months ago, only used them a handful of times. They seem alright and as for swirl marks it should actually be better than a lambswool mitt.
