Worth a read for anyone looking at Oil Cooler, http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114293 however I suspect most of you already know this.

I'm not sure if that's the same ITM but SARD are working on a very similar design. Here are their design photo's:

When I ordered the BBK I wasn't too sure if it would clear my summer set of wheel's, the 949 Racing wheels. So today I decided to check and make sure. Well good news I they do with loads of room, so I don't need to buy a new set. Some pictures of the clearance:

I got a free copy with my graphic's card, however I can't be arsed to download 60gb's worth of game.

Summit / S-Wave are your best bet. However if money is no object then the SPL would be top of my list (Velox don't have a bolt hole for the headlight level adjuster).

If your planning on having someone else do the work for you, take a look at @smudge's build first.

It's supposed to do this: This item will increase the feel in the clutch pedal and give a more motorsports like feel to the return of the clutch pedal to stock position. It made it stiffer but the return feels spongy to me, which I don't like.

For anyone interested the BBK cost me £1800 as I went for red calipers and AP discs. However you can buy a similar setup but with black calipers and Reylands own rotors for around £1500 to £1600.

As its now 2017 its time for an update on my build, but first I'm going to start off by wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Anyway back to the car, I'd originally planned to go supercharged at the end of last year, however due to a supply issue I cancelled this after a couple of months. I then spent a couple of day thinking about what to do instead of the supercharger, I decided to stay N/A and purchase some more modifications. First on the list was a big brake kit as I've always felt the brakes on the car were lacking some stopping power. This provided a substantial challenge in deciding what kit to go for, after spending considerable time looking at the various options available I came to the conclusion that none of the existing setups matched my exact needs. After discussing this with @Ade he suggested I contact a company called Reyland Motorsport who make custom big brake kits. Over the following week I exchanged several emails with Reyland and we came up with a kit which meet my needs. The custom kit I ended up with consists of red AP Racing CP9200 calipers, AP Racing 330x28mm discs with custom hats, brackets and Ferodo DS2500 pads. Here are some photo's of the kit: Fitted to the car: I also decided to upgrade the rear disc's to match the grooved fronts, so I selected Stoptech grooved rear discs. I still need to bed the brakes in, but they feel much better already. (Once I'm back on summer tyres that will help the bed in process massively) The next mod I purchased was a Perrin 3" Cold Air Intake system with silicone intake tube, thanks to @James@Amber for providing this. I also purchased MTEC shift and clutch springs. In my opinion the shift springs are fantastic, a definite must for our cars. However I don't really like the change in feel of the clutch spring. The final mods I ordered were a HKS resonated decat pipe and Powerflex front and rear subframe bushes. I decided against fitting the decat pipe due to the extra noise it'd produce (This will be put up for sale soon). Finally due to the change in intake I needed to get the car remapped again, this time I decided to get the car dyno mapped by Tuning Developments. Here is the before and after dyno graph: As you can see @Mike@TD.co.uk managed to smooth out the mid range and get a little bit more power at the top end. One last comment, @Keethos thank you for providing the transport to and from TD.

The driver's university & track day guide by Driver61
will300 posted a topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Hi Everyone I recently came across a website which contains several tutorial explaining the fundamentals track driving. There are 20 tutorial's which explain the basic's of cornering, braking, vision, grip limit, etc and a couple of other guides. Having done the CAT Driver training a couple of years ago this was a good recap for me, and will hopefully help everyone else. The tutorial's are definitely worth a read. There is also a video for each tutorial, however not all of these worked for me. Driver's University: All Tutorial's If you CBA to read all the tutorial's but are new to track days, I'd definitely recommend you have a read of their guide. Track Day Guide: The definitive guide to track days Here's one of their video's on how to drift a road car, in an 86 no less. Thanks for looking Will -
Welcome Alan.

Welcome Lou, nice collection of former cars you have there.

There's only one thing on planet earth that could quieten your exhaust down....
-
I should be good for this.
-
There are definitely two sizes, see below image. The one you have is the 2.75" one, so you don't need to mess around with MAF scaling.
-
I also made a short video when I meet up with Ross this weekend. Sorry its not a super high quality job, I don't have the equipment for that, yet.
-
Here are some quick photo's of Ross's car from today's mini meet. It's was just a shame about the weather, atleast we found somewhere under cover.

I know @Jared was busy most of Saturday other than late afternoon/early evening. I'm happy either way. We could always meet up before hand and jared join us later on, or there's always Sunday.
-
The plan was to meet in Malvern as that's half way between us both on Saturday evening (6ish).
-
We should do a mini-meet, I'll be near by meeting up with @Jared at some point.

Shame I missed you today mate at the Tuned! open day, would have loved to go out in it.
