SOLD AVO 2.5" Non Res Cat Back Exhaust
will300 replied to will300's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Now sold -
Hi Everyone I have for sale my AVO 2.5" non resonated cat back exhaust, it's been on the car for around 18 months. It's in excellent condition, with no bumps or scrapes. (It's alittle dirty, nothing a good clean won't fix). There is one very minor issue, one of the bolts has snapped within the nut, nothing a 50p replacement won't fix (pictured below). I have run it on my car with an EL ACE manifold and stock 2nd cat and the sound was perfect, not intrusive but obvious when your on it. Also very little drone (basically none). £400 cash on collection, from Lichfield, Staffordshire. Pictures: Thanks for looking Will

@Adi you don't unfortunately. You can get templates for genuine kits, however as the Reyland is custom its a guessing game. Also wheel spoke design has a lot to play. Those BBS wheels i'd say might be too close based on size and offset (also I believe they are very heavy). Lead time for the BBK should only be a couple of weeks (assuming they have the calipers instock).
-
I can't remember of the top of my head, it's very minor like 1%. You don't notice any change when driving. The reason I built the kit as I did was because brake bias was a massive concern. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I've never tested the BBK with the stock wheels. I can't see the point really, you can get a decent set of aftermarket wheels for £400. Also the picture on that website don't show the correct caliper, which is slightly misleading. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I posted the car in the facebook group a couple of weeks ago, as it'd was cheap enough for someone looking for a spare engine. So I was hoping it wasn't me who cost you some money Also check the chassis legs as straight.

Sam, are you a member of the drivers club facebook group?

This looks tidy, it's got some basic mods already. I'd get them to MOT first mind: https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/toyota/gt-86/toyota-gt86-gt1-d-4s-2014/8395688 It's looks a familiar car, but I can't say who's it is.

Whats your budget Dan?

FYI:
-
Have you tried a used car supermarket, rather than Toyota? (I've never had a problem at either Toyota or VW when I was under 25)
-
@GT86FTW - Have you asked a couple of different garages if you can test drive a car? If you have a full UK drivers license (assuming you are from the UK), you should be able to get a test drive at Toyota . Also have you been to a garage with an older family member? As that can usually help.

If it looked like the below photo then it's definitely Luke's @Quball

Last year I averaged 32.2mpg and did around 250miles per tank (most of the time I fill up before the light comes on). I use Fuelly to work it all out.

That's entirely up to yourself, no doubt everyone else will be eating.

Engine mounts are definitely worth considering, however I'd only get the STi ones to avoid any extra NVH. (See video below). Also if you want proper brake cooling these are the ducts you want: https://www.verus-engineering.com/product-page/full-brake-cooling-kit-ft86, I'd avoid the APR ones as they don't cool the brake disc properly.

I would buy you a cake, however there is also a 50% chance you won't turn up.
