    Hey all.

Welcome Maz, You should be fine removing the decals from a year old car (colour will be fine). The easiest way to removal any vinyl is a steamer, if you don't have a steamer lots of hot water. This softens the glue more consistently than a heat gun/hair dryer and should leave no residue. Just try and get the car clean as possible first and have a clay bar to hand once you've removed the vinyl, for any grime around the edges.

    First Track Day Snetterton

^ This is absolutely the best advice. I'd also recommend booking some instruction, as this can help massively with your technique. Finally to confirm what @maurice said, try to keep stint length to around 15 minutes and then rest the car (and yourself) in the pits for 15 minutes before you go back out on circuit.

    Front number plate holes

Not sure how yours looks, but this is mess Subaru decided was a good idea on EDM & JDM cars. 😠 What were they thinking.... 😆

    Front number plate holes

Unfortunately @Badger there is no simple or easy way to fix this (on the BRZ atleast). I've looked into this abit and the options I came across were: 1. Smoothing the moustache, filling the holes and painting it. - The bodyshop I took it to said they could do it, but it'll look terrible and he'd rather not do it. 2. Buy a US spec bumper / facelift bumper - Expensive 3. Wrapping the moustache - Cheap, but the holes would still be noticable 4. Cutting the moustache out. 5. Getting a moustache cover (Kansai Service make one) - Best option I could fine. 6. Replacing the bumper with an aftermarket one. There is a load of info here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4265

I'm looking at DOT4 fluids as they tend to have higher boiling points. This could definitely be a possibility as another member suggested similar. Fluid is only 5 months old, including 3 track days. Both fluids you've listed are possibilities. I was doing about 5 laps a time, although the 1 session in the afternoon straight from lunch I did like 8 laps (inc In & Out). The brakes themselves felt fine even after a stint that long, it's just the pedal was too soft, even after 1 lap. Assuming your talking about the brake board by the pits, most of the day I was braking at the board. I did get up top out at 125mph on the long straight, when I reached the first marker. If I was going that fast I'd then slam on the brakes and over cook it/braking too hard and mess up the chicane. Just need more instruction for there. I'm also considering new brake lines, as I'm currently running a mixed setup. The fronts are the ones provided with the AP calipers and the rear are a set of hosetech's.

Update 19/03/2019 - Bedford Trackday Another month, another trackday. This time at Bedford Autodrome, I've been to Bedford several times now and it's such a good circuit as it has quite a mixed track layout, long straights, tight corners, hairpins, chicanes, etc. It was a fantastic day, everyone was well behaved, there was lots of track time, only 1 red flag and little traffic. The weather was also good for March and dry for most of the day, other than 5 mins at lunch when there was a quick shower. Thank you @VAD17 for arranging. There is nothing new to report on the car, it performed relatively flawlessly as expected. A few things I've noticed, the car doesn't seem to roll as much at Bedford compared to Silverstone, so Anti Roll Bars have been removed from the shopping list for now. Suspension for both track day was set at the 1st click from full stiff. @willclarke said it's very flat round the corners which he didn't expect. Overall I'm happy with the balance of the car, its very neutral, precise and easy to rotate on throttle, making it excellent in the corners. My only complaint is with my brake fluid. I'm not happy with how my pedal feels and how soft it gets after a short period. I'm currently using ATE Type 200 which although is track focused, I think I'm going to get something with a higher boiling point. Here are a couple of photo's from the day:

    New wheel & tyre size

17x9 +35 with a 245/40 tyre is quite an aggressive setup, and not something I'd want to run on a stock car. This is mainly down to the size of the tyre and it's effect on the rotation of car. A 18x8 with a 225/40/18 won't affect the dynamics of the car and will still give you more grip.

Looking to get these alloys - a second opinion?

Just for your reference this is what a 17x8 +35 wheel looks like in the wheel well: (not my photos')

Looking to get these alloys - a second opinion?

Offset isn't adjustable, it's a fixed dimension. You can lower the offset by fitting spacer (which I wouldn't recommend) or you can look for different wheels. Japan Racing do a similar wheel in 17x8 +35: https://www.driftworks.com/jr-wheels-jr3-17x8-et35-5x100-5x114-3-black.html

Looking to get these alloys - a second opinion?

@matrixprotein they'll fit fine, you might want a slightly lower offset for more poke. 17x8 +35 tends to be the sweat spot. That however is a decent price.

Update 23/02/2019 - Silverstone Trackday On Thursday I attend a Circuit Days trackday at Silverstone, with several other members of the club. (Special thanks to @VAD17 for organising the day). This would be the first test of my new brake setup, featuring new Rear STi brembo's and Endless pads all-round. I was happy with the performance of the brakes, balance was good, no issues with over heating. Stopping power was the same as the Ferrodo's. I still think I'd prefer something with more of an aggressive bite, however I suspect that would mean sacrificing daily usability. So I might try running a dedicated set of track pads and swapping them out just before the event in future. Overall however they performed flawlessly. I'm not sure if it's Silverstone specific but it felt like the car was suffering with too much body roll in some corners, even though I had the suspension set on it's stiffest setting. A set of stiffer ARB's has now been added to my watch list 😆 Overall it was a fun day out with a decent amount of track time, even if it was a little busy on track. Here are a couple of photo's from the day:

    Coilovers for Street car

For daily ride comfort with a couple of track days a year, you want the Flex A. Have a look into the Hydraulic Bump Stop feature they offer: https://www.tein.com/products/flex_a.html I've personally ran a set for over the last 3 years without issue, including multiple track days. Now they aren't perfect, they will rust (not excessively), they are possibly too soft for track use (it's a compromise I'm happy to accept due to their daily comfort) and mine are now at the stage where they could do with being rebuilt.

PM me if you want to know about BCS. Unfortunately as Endless is a Japanese company only a handful of places sell their pads in the UK. The main UK supplier I contacted wanted over £600 for a full set of pads. In-fact here are the prices for both sets: RCP015MX72 £417.31+ vat EP291MX72 £269.52 + vat
